We walked up to this hotel on a freezing cold February evening and didn't realize how far it was - a good 15 mins walk from the Buffaure. Wow was it worth it though.. The place is nicely set out in a quite traditional "Austrian" style with lovely corners and some long tables. The food was superb for the price.... More

I had a risotto with pine flavor, which really did taste like that, and a bone ham (stinco di maiale) -- very tender and an enormous portion. All dishes were elegantly and creatively presented. Service was quick, perhaps even too quick, prices are very reasonable. We enjoyed being out of the town center, although the location next to a camping... More

La Soldanella is about 2 km from Pozza di Fassa, in the initial part of an enchanting valley called San Nicolo' (with very few cars passing by). You can reach it by car or, in winter, you can also stop there directly while skiing down from the Buffaure downhill. This restaurant is a little good surprise for those who instead... More

Food very good and a lot of kindness. Ravioli were great and portions were big. Good wine too and reasonable price. We will be back

We have spent the past 7 weeks in The Dolomites trying different restaurants and rifugios on the ski slopes and I must admit that generally the standard has been high. However, La Soldanella situated right by the piste rates as one of the best. It has a very interesting non typical menu, a comprehensive wine list, cheerful and very efficient... More

Read the reviews and as this is the No. 4 restaurant in Pozza at the time of writing this, we decided to stop by for a skiing lunch. It took over 10 minutes for us to bring us menus and after 15 more minutes, when they didnot even ask us about drinks, we got up and left. The lady was... More

At the bottom of the loveliest piste in Pozza Di Fassa. Had a fabulous lunch here in Feb 2012. Went back for more in Jan 2013 and was absolutely devastated to find it was closed. It was a Monday and I guess if I'd have thought about it in advance I would have probably avoided trying to go on a... More

We had a very nice dinner in this popular place. Portions were generous and prices reasonable. Service a bit chaotic but they were extremely busy and the place was full, so I understand it was not easy to manage properly everything. Recommended.

We have been recommended this restaurant by locals: what a great nice surprise! It's far from the center of Pozza, but the extra driving is worth the while: excellent ambiance, excellent food and good service. The prices are low, especially when compared to other local restaurant. Can be crowded at times, so it's better to reserve a table. Highly recommended.
