Cosy little restaurant away from the central square, friendly reception, honest menu, an ‘amuse’ to start with and excellent honest Italian food to follow with. The pasta sauces were seriously filled!

Met up with our daughter in Pietrasanta for lunch at about 1345 so it was rather late. No problem there though. You can either eat indoors or outside. As it was a nice day we elected to sit outside. The seating area is slightly cramped,...but you have room. The service was good with friendly staff. Mind you my daughter being resident in the area knows just about everyone, and here was no exception. The staff spoke good English, making life easier when one struggles to state your choice. I opted for spaghetti with seafood, my wife tordelli, and my daughter a cold platter of local cured meats, along with house wine. I was surprised that whilst a fresh bottle was opened for us, it was decanted into a half litre carafe. I never did establish if you paid for the bottle or the carafe!More

Creative and nicely decorated, different. Kind and friendly staff that surprised us with a welcome drink and anti pasti. Food was fresh and delicious. A great place to spent your evening.

Very good food and service. With our young family we had a great dinner here. Meat balls, tunfish tartar, fish plates were fresh and very tasty.

3 years that we come in Pietrasanta and this place remains the best spot: great food, low prices and, on top of all, great staff which will always try to accommodate you even though you have not booked a table (which is a non sense...in Pietrasanta). Good to find a home in such a crowdy place.More

I was really looking forward eating here, as this turned to be our first * experience. We arranged a lunch and I have to stay, it met all the expectations. I had the classic degustation menu (beefsteak, risotto, veal cheek, dolci). It was amazing and...definitely worth the price (which I found average in Tuscany for 3-4 course meal). The service was super good, they were really tolerant as we arrived with a baby. As a matter of fact the restaurant looked like a kindergarten, with at least four families with chipdren under the age of three, but everyone was polite and patient. Lucca is a lovely, romantic city if you are visiting it do not miss this place!More

We were looking for somewhere to have Sunday lunch in Pietrasanta and chose Il Giglio. We were not disappointed. It was one of the best meals I've ever had!

We popped in without any clue and we had the best experience. Lovely atmosphere, pleasant location, delicious food. I had a supertasty animal and dairy free meal, my husband chose a fish soup; then vegetables for me and an apple pie for him. Everything was...perfect and the kindness of the people made the experience even more worthy. I took a photo of the flavorful and attractive appetizer offered by the house. do not miss it!More
