Great Italian restaurant tucked away in Kalaw. Nice ambiance, great food and excellent service. Their pizza is a must try.

I just dropped in tonight, wanting to hear the live music, but could not go in due to the cigarette smoke upon entry. I had been told by another bar owner that smoking is no longer allowed in bars and restaurants. This place doesn’t abide...by those rules. Sooo very disappointing!More
It is really hard to find really good European food in Myanmar, but the pizza in this restaurant is truly amazing and worth every single kyat that you pay!
Just don't order their dessert. We ordered Tiramisu and Chocolate mouse, and they are, especially the tiramisu, absolutely horrible. The main dishes, in contrast, are good overall. Particularly problematic is the Italian owner/manager who's always in the restaurant. After we informed a waiter that the...Tiramisu has a weird taste almost off, he came by telling us he tasted it and it's totally fine. And that there's no Mascarpone cheese to be found there so they used cream. He added that taste is subjective, so if we didn't like the tiramisu made with the cream, there's nothing he could do. The unapologetic attitude he displayed was just not okay. I'd just add that we were a group of three and we met friends later who told us about how they found the tiramisu was just unservable. So this is far from just a one-person opinion. We'd probably not return to this restaurant again, though we have been going there every time we were in Kalaw.More
Dear customer, I am under the impression that I was defined an arrogant only because I, respectfully, disagreed with you. Not on the fact that you did not like the tiramisu of course. I actually immediately acknowledged that and, although you forgot to mention it...More
This place has a beautifully relaxed atmosphere, nice decor, great drinks and definitely the best pizza in town with authentic Italian ingredients!
Great atmosphere, great service, reasonably price. I had the Calzone. It was great. Highly recommend.
Excellent! Best place in Myanmar during our 3 week travel! Nice place and interior, stylish and polite waiters and good quality and taste of food! Wooden pizza is almost like in Italy. We had all our lunches and dinners here. And owner is Italian
We enjoyed our freshly baked pizzas. As we had found throughout the country, the staff we attentive and politely helpful
A group of 7 of us went to the Red House for dinner. We had a mixture of local and Italian food. Everyone was satisfied although one person who had pizza said the crust was a bit doughy. Nobody else had any criticisms. Service was...fast and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Prices are a little high for Myanmar but normal for a tourist town like Kalaw.More
A group of us ate nearly all menu items. Loved it all. Pasta, pasta, pasta! Real cheese as well. Clean establishment with lots of tourists
Overpriced. Bruschettes not very delicious. Ordered chocolate mousse, got chocolate pudding. Ambient and stuff are nice.
Overpriced restaurant with Italian menu, not Italian food. Pizza made Asian way, nothing like Italian, chocolate mousse is actually pudding,Bread on bruschetta is barely toasted with almost no garlic.
A unique restaurant where both Shan and Italian food are a epicurean delight. Italian because the husband is from Italy and his wife is from Shan Staten. The shan noodles make a great lunch and the truffle ravioli was a great meal to celebrate the...new year with. A good selection of wines to compliment any meal. Bravo.More
We’ve been travelling a little while, on a small budget. So we decided to treat ourselves and all day we were looking forward to pizza. Service was fine, apart from if there’s any small problem the waiter have to find someone else to interpret for...them. We ordered two calzones- They arrived very quickly. I cut mine in two to allow it to cool down and then bit into a piece. The mushrooms were raw and the insides were cold. Not warm, cold. My partners the same. I thought we were pretty reasonable to ask for them just to be heated and was told the calzone is normally cold in the middle as it’s hard to cook the inside. I’ve had calzone before and it’s never been the case, but to give the manager credit he changed both. The next day we were hiking with an Italian from Milan and asked him if this was true- he said absolutely not. We’ve just had an incredible meal for more than half the cost and the price we paid for in the end warm calzone we still feel bitter at paying such a price. If you’re on holiday and want a western food. Then fill your boots. But it wasn’t for us.More
Dear customers, Sorry about the problem with the two calzoni first of all. For the sake of fairness, please allow me to point out that I never said that a calzone is supposed to be cold inside (that would be foolish). I only said that...More
Nice ambiance in an old, charming building. Food was alright for a location like Kalaw, definitely among the better dining’s in Kalaw
