After a long day walking around the Dandy hills my bf took me to a cafe to finish off the day, the service was good as well as the coffee and I just loved the scones and cream with jam that we had.

Great fare especially Devonshire tea. Scones are very fresh & lovely served with runny tasty jam & cream. Hot beverages are good too & one in our group had quiche with salad - verdict was good too. Fast & friendly service. Simple, smaller cafe with not many tables inside & limited outside metal table setting. Good place to enjoy autumn... More

Oh yes, the sparkle was absolutely the very best coffee. It was so delicious not to mention my salmon salad pitta sandwich. My partner enjoyed his burger also. I could have gone for seconds but decided not to given the meals are certainly an adequate size, but oh the coffee!! It was so good. And the staff were so welcoming... More

Lovely friendly atmosphere with excellent service. We both had the homemade beef burgers, "best burger I've tasted in a very long time". The scones were so deliciois with fresh cream and jam.

The 3 hashbrowns with smoked salmon was yummy with sour cream and balsamic. Devonshire Tea - scones were soft, moist. Love the home made jam. A wonderful treat after the 1000 steps!

Very friendly people. It is really a feel good coffee shop except that the coffee was horrible. I ordered an espresso and it was very bad. I may return to order a Coca Cola but no more for coffee. Suggestion; change your coffee machine, buy better coffee or simply learn how to make a good coffee - or maybe all... More

Up to the Dandenongs and decided to try out Sassafras Cafe for breakfast given the last time l was here in the afternoon, the scones were heavenly. This time a simple plate of scrambled eggs for breakfast made by the same lady who cooks the scones. All l can say is that the offering was perfect. On this experience, l... More

My husband and i had a devonshire tea when visiting Sassafras. This cafe is very quaint and felt like you were sitting in England. Quaint windows, pretty tables and smiles all around. The scones were freshly baked, not microwaved. The jam(mixed bery) was so delicious that we actually bought a jar to take home. It is made by a local... More
