We have been here a few times and always enjoyed ourselves, hence going back - the last time we went the premises had changed ownership and it appears they have little experience in food service. It was a cold winter morning and our food was served up on ice cold plates, meaning cold food by the time it got to... More

It will take them ten to fifteen minutes to bring you a glass of coke. About the same for a coffee. A terrible, terrible coffee. Whilst you wait...and wait...and wait for food, you will be entertained but a floor show. Sure, it's just people complaining and walking out, but it's still entertaining. The best part about this place is the... More

It was a pleasant surprise to return to this restaurant and find that new owners are in charge and it has improved out of sight. The service, or at least our very friendly, efficient young woman, has really improved. She was quick, well presented and keen to ensure that we had a pleasant visit. Coffee is still good. Lovely leaf... More

After reading the really bad reviews of this place, I braced myself for really bad service. And bad service we received! Unfortunately someone else had organised this, and we had to go along. We had a group booking for a large party, 14 adults and 8 kids. For a start, staff were nowhere to be seen. So someone in our... More

We enjoyed our lunch today! We had chicken snitzel and beef curry. Yes it has old world charm but its been around for the longest time. it felt cosy and warm on a winters day. It did take a little while to get served but the place was busy and we were in no rush! When the meals arrived, they... More

Dreadful service, staff have no idea, 2 tables left because of the wait. Hair on my meal. Stay away it's tragic. Avocado chicken was a piece of chicken schnitzel with 4 slices of avocado. Basic basic basic pub meal.

We remembered coming here years ago and it was lovely to sit in the olde English atmosphere (don't change that) by a roaring fire so being locals we wandered up for breakfast on a very very cold morning. But where was the fire? There were logs but no fire just barely working central heating and a waitress wearing her fur... More

Had a friend recommend it and I have to say, one of the best Steaks I have ever tasted and the Vegtables were clean, crisp and juicy. An English Tudor Style Decor. Will be back, perhaps to taste Pancakes this time. Family run and Nero the Owner who was also waiting the tables was a delight to deal with, very attentive.
