Great stop for coffee on a very cold day after walking from Tsumago. Only a small cafe but very good service and quite delicious Coffee. I found the delicious flat white that I had been craving since arriving in Japan.

Stopped by this little shop on the way to the bus. Coffees took a while to prepare because they are done individually with fresh beans but the wait is very worth it.

Waited for this tiny cafe to open before walking part of the Nakasendo trail. Good espresso coffee (when often the choice is hot coffee or cold) and excellent hot chocolate, thick toast and jam. Highly recommended.

Stop here for a great properly made coffee before you set off on the Nakasendo trail. You can't miss it, it's by the water wheel. Great coffee is not easy to find. This place is worth stopping for.

After a traditional Japanese breakfast in out Ryokan we were delighted to drop into this cafe at the beginning of a walk. The coffee was excellent as was the hot chocolate and hot buttered toast. A great place!
