This place is very clean and well-run. The staff is friendly. The food is decent. Amusingly, I found the only deficiency was their coffee. For a place that stakes their concept on being a great place for coffee in Takoradi, they only offer one kind...of bean/roast – which is basically the Italian“Lavazza” concept of roasted nearly to ash. Even Starbucks roasts less darkly than this. They also subscribe to that European idea that all coffee comes from an espresso machine. Which is fine, if you’re called “Espresso Corner.” Coffee Conoisseurs know that the flavor characteristics of a bean are best displayed at a medium-ish roast, the level of which should be tailored to the bean itself. If I ran Coffee Corner, in addition to an espresso dark roast, I would offer at least five types of regional beans, at medium roast levels, and I would offer an 8oz French Press for two, a Chemex pour, and an individual cup pour-over – like any decent coffee shop in a western city. All three of those options combined would be about a 200 dollar investment. The beans don’t have to be a complicated import problem – Africa has a very wide variety of bean options (Kenya anyone?). These options would truly establish Coffee Corner as the best coffee in Takoradi, and possibly even in Ghana. At present, they’ve spent a lot of money on expensive espresso machines and grinders to only deliver the bitter Lavazza “experience.”More

Delicious sandwiches. Went back a second day because they were great Tomato soup-Yum Mozzarella Pesto Panini- fantastic Coronation chicken sandwich- This was a winner espresso- pretty good. If grading on a Ghana curve-Fantastic Place is filled with ex-pats and prices reflect that

I used to really enjoy coming here. I would come here once or twice a month to submit reports for my agency, get a milkshake, and catch up on news back home. Recently I came here to submit a final expense budget and about halfway...through the wifi went out. When I asked them to reset the router, the owner told me that I need to find a new place to use wifi because I have been downloading things all morning and taking up their internet. I was a bit taken aback by how aggressive the owner seemed to be about me using up all of his internet. I had spreadsheets and receipts all over the table- clearly I was there doing work, not downloading movies. Definitely won't be coming back, and I used to spend a good amount of money each time I came, too.More

I am very sorry to hear this and I truly apologise if you feel you have been mistreated. However, Coffee Corner is a coffee shop/restaurant. Our business is serving people food and drinks, not supplying free WiFi or being used as an office. I understand...More

Has been one of my favorite places to visit, staff is very polite, nice atmosphere and food is pretty good. My only complaint is the fact that my friend and I were told (by the owner) to find another place to get wifi and stop...downloading things when we were there to submit reports for our agency. This is after I was using my own hotspot to use data and had spent quite a bit of money for food and drink. I understand the frustration, but the response came after we politely informed the manager/owner that the wifi was down. His response was unprofessional and VERY rude.More

There was no coffee corner, they had a "bar" which was closed and looked disgusting. They don't have any waiters there, the owner is very selfish.

It was such a great surprise when we decided to randomly check it out The cafe is adorable! Spacious with multiple seating options! Free WiFi available. Packed with books and magazines The price is a bit on the high side... average cost being GH₵ 40!...A good meal per person should cost roughly GH ₵75 Definitely not an everyday treat if on a budget but a treat nonetheless The food was amazing! If you ever see burger on the specials board, try it! I believe it’s usually on Saturdays. It was juicy and flavorful A very expat scene, it was nice to observe the friendly interactions between the regulars and staff We got stared at quite a bit, maybe black girls were rare there! Looool or it could be the fact that we were talking a million and 1 pictures Life of a bloggerMore

One of the best coffee shop in Ghana and surely the best in Takoradi. Quality food, fast service and a great coffee. Small menu but their sandwiches are done almost perfect. They also have a daily dish and you don't wanna miss that.

I have been many times in coffee corner with my colleagues from the company. Probably this is the best place for the business meetings in Takoradi, Ghana. A lot of European people are part of this place. The internet connection is excellent Every day, there...are "today's special" on the menu. The smoothie is also good.More
