Great for a drink and some crisps , it's in a great position by the beach and Harbour a great place to watch the sunsets . Not somewhere that we have been to eat for a long time , understand they now sell homemade ice - cream .

We liked the location of this inn. Service is very friendly. Children are welcome, there’s a special menu for them. There’s a good choice in drinks. The baguettes and salads were very nice. Plenty of seating, one can also sit outside. The price is average.

We stopped here for lunch on a flying visit to Portreath. We ordered prawn baguettes that took about half an hour to arrive, this felt like a long time as it didn't seem very busy! When they arrived they were well worth the wait the number of prawns on the plate and amazing and very tasty! We sat outside with... More

My biggest mistake was not leaving in the first 2 minutes!! The bar staff was talking to another customer so I waited patiently for a couple of minutes, then it became evident that it was not a customer but her friend. I was completely ignored until she finished her conversation - why did I stay!!! Ordered a mixed grill but... More

We come here every year, boy were we wrong to stop here this time, parked the car at 6.40pm, ordered food waited and waited, finally got some food at about 8.30pm lamb shank for me and the missus, both were luke warm, had to send them back. Waited another 10 mins after telling the waitress, then had to get the... More

The new management of 2016 have not reached those standards. The new management need more restaurant staff whether full or part time, also they need to learn more... More

Layout of this place looks very dated..... Looks like a locals pub! Food quite nice, better than expected! I would have a casual meal but not special occasion!

Ordered food for lunch. Two scampi and chips totally overcooked, Scampi was hard and the chips looked like they had been previously cooked, refrigerated, and fryed again. Could not eat either dish. Baked potato cold. Just unbelievable! Waitress/Bar tender looked at the dishes and apologised (not her fault - the chef needs training) but said whilst she would like to... More

Lovely friendly local pub with a great atmosphere and delicious homemade food. The burger I had was the best I'd ever tasted, and the chips were just like my Cornish Granny used to make. There was plenty of room to sit and eat in comfort, with a separate bar area for pub games.
