I cannot fault the consistently excellent food at The Springer Spaniel. The service was great and the staff were very friendly and greeted us warmly on our arrival. The maple glazed duck and scallops definitely stood out. The entire meal was top quality and extremely successful wine. Meat was ideally cooked, and overall, a most most excellent pub. We will... An odd location, in the middle of nowhere and with no great view or other natural atribute in its favour. So all power to the team at The Springer; lovely well cooked seasonal food at a reasonable price with bang on service. This is the second time that we have been for lunch in a few months and we will... More

Good food and great service. The Sea bass was a stand out dish when we last went there. I come once or twice a year when I'm in the area.

Came here for a delicious Sunday Lunch. This is well above the average Sunday lunch most pubs offer . Beautifully cooked meat with separate generous portions of vegetables. . Lovely atmosphere with very friendly staff. Wine a little more expensive than normal but worth it.

Booking a meal was very easy on line. Regular communication following booking was excellent. Friendly welcoming staff upon arrival. The interior was rustic and comfortable and I immediately felt at ease. There is nothing stuffy or pretentious here which I loved. Our waitress was charming and professional. The food was amazing and I savoured every mouthful. Great value for money... More

Although I cannot fault the food and the friendly staff, we feel that it's trying so hard not to be a 'pub' when in fact it is. Think it would be more successful if the menu had some good 'pub classics' for families. Its in a village so the beer garden is a bonus but covered with dog poo everywhere.... More

Delicious and beautifully presented food. Nice beer garden and lovely and cosy inside. Had the pea and broad bean risotto and goats cheese moose. Herbs are grown in the garden which is a nice touch.

Managed to secure a table at short notice which was a surprise as we have tried before and always fully booked. Relaxed atmosphere, dog friendly and comfortable setting. Had a Hugo cocktail - lovely and refreshing. Staff very attentive and friendly. Menu very limited for us - not meateaters - could of had just one course in the 8 course... More
