This restaurant is worth the trip. The pasta is home made and if you arrive late they may be out of your choice of pasta. The food is authentic Italian not the over sauced , cheesed and salted Olive Garden type Italian that most Utah...More

This little restaurant in a strip mall in Cottonwood Heights is easy to overlook. But they carry local wine/beer and their food is quite good.

We often go to Italy for vacation. This year we went to a family reunion instead. So when we were traveling through Utah, we used our GPS to find Italian restaurants. We picked Cucina Vanina because it didn't have a cliche Italian name. We were...More

Recently visited Cucina Vanina for dinner. Walked in, and it took some time to be greeted in a less than half-filed restaurant. Served a small plate of bread with tomato dipping sauce that reminded me a bit of salsa. Unusual. Had two different pasta dishes,...More

Top quality Southern Italian cooking. Vanina is a personality, as well as a skilled chef. Spaghetti is al dente and the meatballs are large. The veal received rave reviews from my companion. Though the wine list is thin (this is Utah, of course) there are...More

Their homemade pasta is excellent. The lasagna was very good and the portion size was adequate. The gnocchi was a special and was probably the best I have ever had. Don't expect a huge menu but do expect the dishes they serve to be excellent.
