We went to Lanterna during our visit of Narona museum. Service 5+ Food 5 Food was delicious. But service...service was perfect. It's very rare to find that good service. Kindness, professionalism, knowledge...perfect!
A lovely place with wonderful, soulful and very hearty people. The owners are so caring and accommodating! The place is really clean. The food is deciduous and always fresh!
I have chosen this place to finally try fampur Neretva brudet with eels and frogs, and I have chosen proper place for that. The owner was pleased with my choice, he explained me in details the meal. Also he kindly told me that o might...wait the meal. (turned to be 20 min, what is really nothing). While waiting he brought me a slice of good dalmatian prosciutto with tasteful tomatoes and Ston salt. Oh, and fantastic domestic bread under sać. Brudet was good. The only thing that is perhaps negative is that I asked medium to very hotspiced, and it came mild hotspiced. But ok. Aide dish was of course polenta, and it was the star of the meal. Domestic corn flour, maybe even from stone mill, very creamy, wonderful. And again that fantastic bread to eat with the sauce. After the meal I got free fresh local fruits (black grapes, watermelon, figue), and after that more figues which I couldn't eat anymore, but they packed them to go (I ate them later on the beach). I drank wine of the house. It was chardonnay. Not my cup of tea because it was very sweet. The offer of the meals is very local, and they offer very affordable daily menus. My brudet was not cheap though, 180kn + 6kn bread + 24kn 1dl of wine and sparkling water. Daily menues cost cca 40-50kn. Atmosphere is like real konoba, very local, what is great.More
Stopped on the road to Sarajevo on 1st September. Lovely restaurant. We had home made cevapcici with grilled vegetables. The owner brought us home grown chilled figs at the end of the meal. Would highly recommend for the homely restaurant. Would like to have stayed...longer.More
I organized a meeting of about 10 people, including a setup with projector in the back room. Jure and Nada are very gracious hosts and they made sure we set up everything the way we needed for the success of our meeting. That was followed...with the very special delicacies from the Neretva region. Great food, great service. We will definitely be back, not just for business, bu for private dinners as well.More
Owner and his wife were so warm and eager to please. We were treated to a local grilled fish, frog legs (local specialty) and a wonderful salad and dessert, wine was fabulous. We even signed the "egg". The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the...owner drove us back to our hotel. BellissimoMore
We made a special detour to Metkovic in search of the specialty, eel brudet. The meal we had was outstanding and well worth having come there. We were served by the owner his recommendation of brudet with eel and frog with pura (polenta) , following...a local recipe of beef soup with thin noodles. Each dish was extremely tasty and the combination worked beautifully, accompanied with local Posip wine. Highly recommended!!!!!More
First I can just say OMG!!! This meal was really one of the best! We tried frogs in the souce, fried frogs and also eel fish. Everything was amazing and delicious. It is family restaurant and all members are super friendly and communicative. The service...was professional. At the end of our culinary experience they offeres us home fruit for free. Inforgettable journey. If you go through Metkovic, you should stop there. 😀More
Due to some travel break I gave this humble and kind place a visit. Hospitality from the lady who is i believe also the owner was amazing, surroundings peaceful and cozy. Food good, i would compare to something my mom would prepare. Prices more than...friendly, i have taken daily menu offer and enjoyed it, plate was empty and food was so good i forgot to take picture. Would recommend even to a family because the terrace is big enough. If im in Metkovic again will visit the place again.More
