They were kind, and served quite good food. However, we paid coperto even for my 3 years old son.

Went after positive reviews. Had the 8 dish antipasta starter. Could have simply had another one as my main. It was so good. Groper filled pasta with a pistachio cream sauce was nice but the fried squid was so tender unlike the boot leather experienced elsewhere. Desserts pretty good too. The only drawback was that the service was a bit... More

Nice restaurant, fresh fish, just at the end of the main footwalk! The staff is really nice. It is not too pricy and can be perfect for a family dinner

On our last day in Catania, we decided to take the bus up the coast to Aci Castello, to see the Cyclops rocks and to have lunch by the sea. Il Covo Marino is right on the little harbour and captures the seaside atmosphere perfectly, even in February. We were given a free glass of Prosecco on arrival, which was... More

We decided to eat here based on TripAdvisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. The mixed seafood starter is an absolute must and has some great new fusion-type dishes as well as the traditional ones. My fish was presented whole and then taken away to be filleted which was an unexpected treat. A great experience with great views over the harbour.... More

Order the mixed starter which comprised of a variety of fish dishes and was absolutely delicious - you won't be disappointed (if you like seafood)! The service was friendly and Emmanuele made us feel right at home and we had a wonderful time at il Covo Marino.

Warmly greeted here as we drifted in to see if they had a table. Our waiter spoke good English and happily talked us through the menu and suggested we could choose our fish and they would cook it anyway we liked. He also helped with wine selection (we opted for Timperosse, Mandrarossa - DELICIOUS). We chose the mixed fish starter... More

We found this on trip advisor. We casually walked in and we're astound with the service. Vincenzo, our waiter, was knowledgeable about local wine to match the meal (Lunà Grillo with breaded Dover). We were pleasently surprised to have the risotto with strawberries/pistachio! Delectable! The most incredible part was that we saw "breaded oysters" in another Trip Advisor post and... More

This restaurant is amazing, the starter like tapas from fish, but is combination with fruits. If you like fish, you love this restaurant. the service is great, the waiter knows his products and the wine. If you are in Sicily, I can advise you this restaurant.

A lovely location directly opposite the harbour and friendly attentive staff; the antipasti misti was wonderful a selection of dishes so fresh and diverse they were almost a meal in them self; the aubergine tart was as delicious as it was unusual. My prawn /squid, mussel and clam risotto was so soft and tasty being cooked to perfection. The waiter... More
