If you want a quick bite, or morning cafe con leche or yummy pastries this is your spot. Try the pan sobao, which has a hint of sweetness. The sandwiches were a good size and very inexpensive.

Well worth going. Right off of RT3, parking is a bit tricky might need to park on the street and walk during morning hours. Sandwiches are served from opening untill 2PM only! Make sure to order with sweetbread YUM!!

If you're spending time near Rio Grande, and if you like pastries, find this bakery. We actually went in for a sandwich and were to late for that. Once we were able to select from all the varieties, we each had a pastry and they were outstanding. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we never had time to... More

For lunch every day we ended up eating their sweet bread spread with the local avocado purchased from fruit vendors off the side of the road. DELICIOUS! We had made sandwiches as well, but nothing compared to their fresh sweet bread. We ate 4 loaves in 8 days! Pricing was good and I expect every time we go to PR... More

This place is amazing. We enjoyed several breakfast sandwiches and far too many pastries during our week in the area. People are friendly , service is good and this place is spotlessly clean. Hope to vacation in the area again !

Best bakery in Rio Grande! Excellent variety of fresh cakes, macaroons, sweets, bread etc. Such a variety, it's hard to pick. We went in the night, so they were out of the pineapple cake. We picked four different deserts, and they were all very good. And very reasonably priced. Wish we had been there earlier in our trip.

Oh my goodness. If you like pastries and donuts this is your place. Admittedly they were not quite as sweet as in the US but a great treat. The people here were friendly. You can eat in or carry out. The best deal is the easy over egg platter (4 eggs, ham and 4 slices of bread - enough for... More

If you've had real Danish pastries, you know what's top notch for pastries. La Familia Bakery is impressive. We went here because another down the street was taking too long. I'm so glad we moved on and found this bakery!! We had a puff pastry with guava filling that was literally baked perfectly. We also had a coconut macaroon which... More
