First they lost our reservation and we pulled up the email and they just shrugged. They seated us in the middle of a huge party and then kept bumping us. Food was ok, but the dish I ordered had a tomato sauce when the description...listed it as white wine. Will not visit again.More

Going to Calypso for lunch is an annual tradition. We get a table at the water and just enjoy the sun and the view. Had a couple of first-timers with us and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a great waiter who couldn't have been nicer....Oh, and the sticky toffee pudding...out of this world!More

We go there every trip. Great food. Good presentation. The stuffed grouper was superb. The service is always attentive. Setting and decor are great.

We were in Cayman for a week and spared no expense on food and drink. This is the one place all the locals recommended again and again. Beautiful oceanfront dining, extensive wine list, great menu with the freshest seafood on the island. Plenty of items...on menu for the less adventurous. Go here for the best seafood. And hands down desert…sticky toffee pudding…even if you are full.More

Excellent food. Especially the sea food. Try not to fill up on the bread, as the portions are good. The feta spinach dish was the best entree we had on the island (we used as an appetizer). My mixed fish dish special was wow. Wife...(allergic to fish) had a tasty steak and get the big fries, which are delicious, not the little fries. Good value for pricing. This place does everything right….from reception, to seating to service as well as the presentation and quality of food! Every server knows the menu inside and out with recommendations and preparation. The options are numerous and everyone can find multiple options. The flavor combinations and...presentation are a true gift from those that prepare the meals. I honestly cannot thank this place enough for the pleasure of dining here and the overall experience of our meals. Of course one has to have the bread pudding as it truly is a masterpiece at this establishment. I am sort of a creme brûlée snob and I am now extremely confident that mine cannot be beat. I did find this creme brûlée to be quite grainy on my pallet for lack of a better description. Would highly recommend the strawberry rhubarb crisp as my taste of that was very nice! Everything was okay. Fresh food, but nothing spectacular with the taste. When we made a reservation, we asked for outside seating which the restaurant confirmed. When we get to the restaurant, we were seated inside. The same happened to another family. We were told that...outside seating is not guaranteed. Also, we asked for 2 separate checks because we were two separate families sitting together. We were told that isn't possible and that we can just split the check equally, but not give each family their own check. I've never had a restaurant say no to that request. Do not get the strawberry rhubarb crisp - extremely sour and mushy.More

We found this restaurant based on good reviews about excellent food and service. Sadly, we did not have this experience. Food took an hour to arrive and waiter only came to check in once during long wait. When food arrived, it was cold and veggies...were tough and not fully cooked. Crab stuffed grouper was good otherwise. Cocktail was so so. Dessert of rhubarb crumble was good and came in a timely fashion. The change we got after paying was wrong by $10 after conversion to American $$, but corrected by the waiter when my husband followed up. We assume this was an honest mistake. We would not recommend.More

We had eaten here with our family in December 2022 and couldn't wait to take our friend group of 10 adults back in February when we returned - and it was an amazing experience again! Unbelievable dinner and ambience. The waitstaff was superb. We all ordered different seafood dishes and all loved our meals. Fresh grilled vegetables for sides helped us feel better about ordering the delicious fried appetizers. Four of us had our last dinner here before leaving Grand Cayman and we chose well. We sat on their deck, surrounded by beautifully lit trees, with a great breeze coming off the water. A magical setting. The waiter was friendly and funny and gave...us good advice. We all had the wahoo, a local fish a lot like swordfish and it was delicious, as were all the accompaniments. Despite being full, we managed to enjoy the sticky toffee pudding, which our cab driver swore was legendary -- and she was right! A perfect ending to a perfect week on the island.
