We decided to go to The Catherine Wheel after terrible service in another village pub. What an amazing find, beautiful surroundings, lovely landlord. Spotlessly clean. The menu was vast and the food good quality and lots of it.

We had the pleasure of recently attending a wedding reception at this fantastic pub. The staff were so helpful and friendly nothing was to much trouble for them, every request was dealt with smile. A gentleman who I can only presume is the owner/manager kept a discreet eye on everything and should be praised for his running of a great... More

Stuck on the M25 for two hours and then on the A1(M) we decided to go cross-country. It was all worthwhile when we found the Catherine Wheel at Albury. Just a fantastic place. Great beer, brilliant meal and fantastic service but the best part was how they looked after our puppy Libby. She'd missed her dinner so the lovely staff... More

What a fabulous find. Great pub and restaurant. Ample parking and gardens both front and back. We saw a beautiful sunset sitting out the front. We ate outside and the food was fabulous we all had something different and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent menu choice and value for money. We went on a week night and I imagine the... More

Went to this lovely family pub yesterday evening, been here for lunch before but this was the first time for dinner and it definitely won't be the last! Lovely staff, smashing food and the children loved it! Something for everyone, can't wait to go back! Six of us in our party and we all felt it was faultless, from the... More

Booked lunch for 14 assorted age family members, to celebrate a 90th birthday. We had to contend with limited mobility and wheelchair access. Nothing was a problem from a reccy one week earlier, providing us with a menu to take home and peruse, pre ordering the food for those with medical conditions that mean waiting is problematic. On the day... More

Very peaceful location, very welcoming, polite and friendly staff. Didn't really need the menu as all the food that was recommended was fantastic. The homemade pie is up there with one of the best pies i've tried - looks average sized, but is absolutely packed. Couldn't be more complementary.

Went for lunch here yesterday on the strength of the reviews here. Firstly i must mention the staff as they were lovely, polite, friendly girls waiting and behind the bar. The interior of the pub has obviously had an interior designer's hand as it is beautifully decorated, I especially loved the huge 'Vogue' wall art in the Ladies. I had... More
