Many tables available when we arrived, so we could choose where to sit. Immediately drink orders were taken and a nice basket of warm bread arrived with 3 sauces: chimichurri, red hot sauce and green sauce not as hot. They had several specials of the...day, we started with Grilled vegetables with a goat cheese on the side and drizzle of balsamic vinegar very good. Ordered different meat cuts to share. All came as ordered (perfectly cooked) and fresh house salad on the side. There was a tv with soccer game (no volume) and nice music. a/a.More

Went to Baires based upon Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. It's not an overwhelming meat menu, but thoughtfully and deliciously prepared. We began with delicious empanadas and had the house specialty, "Bife de lomo Malbec", a roasted skirt steak, on mashed sweet...potatoes, with portobello, asparagus and roasted red pepper served with a Malbec reduction.More

The food was outstanding and the owner and her son made you feel like part of the family the moment you arrived. The place was so good I had dinner their a second night during my short stay in Guadalajara.

We found this restaurant via our GPS--it was wonderful. The food was amazing. My husband had salmon and said it was about the best he ever had. I had a half portion of Melenese--enough for a family of 4!!! the rolls--wine selection--outstanding--the waiter was so...welcoming. It is a family owned and a family member is usually there. They have a wine room. It is a great experience---and can't wait to go again.More

Visited with some coworkers for dinner. We arrived around 6pm on a Thursday and were immediately seated. For the less adventurous there is an English menu, but for the most part the Spanish menu was understandable. Very large selection of wines. I just got the...glass of Malbec which was quite good.. And paired with the lomo Malbec perfectly. The lomo was excellent.. It's just as good as it looks in the picture. One of my colleagues had the salmon Baires which looked quite good as well. The price couldn't be beat--I've spent more at Chipotle in the US!More

We went to this much touted restaurant and the much respected chef was not in. The flounder was dry and overcooked but they gladly replaced it for moister flounder. The octopus and milanesa were winners!

Excellent meat cuts and good salads. Indoor and outdoor seating, but come early, it is always very busy!

The picture of the Tuna Tartare is spot on, yes it looks exactly like that when it arrives at your table....and the taste....wow, simply amazing. The steak I had was single handedly the best rib eye I have ever had, flavor, quality of meet, cooked...to perfect temperature. The owners son Nicholas was super attentive and is a practicing magician for 10+ years and entertained us with card magic tricks, also out of this world. We loved the food, the staff and the ambiance. Sad that our hotel concierge did not know about it and that I trusted the reviews on TA. They were right on and now I can supply a big thumbs up as well.More
