LA TIENDA DE PACO, Tejeda

The view is good, the drinks are ok but what makes this place horrible is the food. They don’t cook themselves but take the food from the neighbouring restaurant (El Labrador) - which is a mistake! We ordered the lamb knuckle (advertised as fabulous by...the waitress): first it came out cold, so we had to send it back to be reheated. When it cam back, temperature was ok but the dish (advertised as „for two“!) had barely enough meat for one person. Lots of skin and bones, bland taste, not well cooked. The vegetables (coming with it) were either very soft or super hard, but eatable. Disappointed and a great visit to tejeda was spoiled. As for the service: ordering started nicely. Then we complained about the quality and asked for a discount. No response, no „sorry“, no discount. We should have sent it back when it came out cold the first time.More

Good location, great view and decent food

We came here for a late lunch after hiking to Roque Nublo. We sat outside on the terrace overlooking the canyon. We shared the traditional potatoes with mojo which was good. We also tried a variety of local cheeses and a few beers. Reasonable

Lunch in the sun

Wow what a great place this restaurant is, service was first class and the view from the tables in the street over the mountain was fantastic. We had the mixed tapas which was gorgeous a real treat, the wrinkly potatoes in a creamy garlic sauce...was Devine and the meat dish which we thought was beef in a rich sauce was fantastic and if it wasn’t beef I couldn’t care less what it was it was delicious and I so wish this restaurant was on my doorstep as I would eat there every week. The cheese and breads were gorgeous and my partners sangria was the best she has had and she’s a regular visitor to Spain. The best meal of our trip and in the most beautiful location. A real taste of Local life. Keep up the good work and please ensure if your in the area call into this place and enjoy Spain at its best. Alan and JeanMore

beautiful food in a beautiful setting . . .

We stopped here on our trip to Tejeda for some Tapas . . . I loved the rabbit stew - with mixed cheeses + jamon were various nuts which I particularly enjoyed; canarian potatoes, croquettes + padron peppers . . . each balancing each other,...yet equally flavoursome in their own right. The waiting staff were attentive, informed, and charming + it was the loveliest relaxing spot to eat with stunning views + surrounded with equally stunning flowers.More

Amazing tapas

We had a day trip to Tejeda and ate mixed Tapas here. Great value for money and an ample serving of Tapas (rabbit stew, Canarian Potatoes, cheeses, jamon, croquettes and padron peppers) which were simply amazing. If was very relaxing to eat here while looking...out on to the lovely views of Tejeda.More

A restaurant with a view

We had lunch with my fiancé at La tienda de Paco while visiting Tejeda and what a great discovery! The food is very tasty, we had the cheese and meat platter, the cured ham was absolutely fantastic. We also had the lamb after, also delicious....The staff is very friendly. You must go if you stop by TejedaMore

Our daily stop.

We have visit this place several time during our stay in Tejeda. First time we enjoyed their mixed tapas and the view. Next time we dropped in for a cop of coffee and to get some local specialities. We like the place for it's good...service and the taste of the food. And if the weather is good you can also enjoy the view.More

Local delicacies and a great view.

Had a great breakfast passing by this small mountain village. Go into the shop, order a lot of local delicacies from the friendly staff, and enjoy the food and the view. Combination of Cobana and cheese sandwich was interesting!

Very nice

Quaint friendly and great coffee!

We had a selection of tapas and a very hearty soup. All were very nice, simple good home cooking. Very warm and helpful staff. Definitely worth it if in the area.
