We stopped at the Pelorus Bridge Cafe on a recent drive to Nelson. What a delightful setting, made even better by the excellent food selection, much of it prepared and baked on the premises. Service is friendly, efficient and very welcoming. So impressed we also called in on the way back to once again enjoy the Coffee, which is called... More

Great café with good coffee. A great place to stop and do the walk. The sign said the walk was 4 hours but was only 2.5 hours up to the trig point and return to the car park. Didn't see anyone after the second waterfall (which was Lovely) as I think the 4 hour guide put them off. A lovely... More

A must stop if travelling between Blenheim and Nelson. Lovely location beside the river where the barrel scenes in The Hobbit movie were shot. Great fresh food, very friendly service and my tip is, buy one of their gorgeous pies to take home, suggest wild venison or wild pork - yum, yum, yum!

I eat here many times a year and always get greeted with a smile. The shop is mainly run by a lovely country family who know how to do everything from bake to service. I would definitely recommend any one visiting the area to stop in and experience this awesome hospitality.

We always stop here when we drive from Picton to Nelson. I absolutely love the setting of the cafe in the native bush. Lots of walks around the area. The staff at the cafe are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the homemade pies and the cheese scones. Great coffee. Great ice creams. Well worth the stop. Clean toilets too.

We stopped here for the cafe experience and to get our site for camping. Often going between nelson and Blenheim we stop here as the pies are the best, homemade. Big car park so no problem parking your bus here. Staff are very knowledgeable about the many walks within the reserve too.

Great little cafe with home cooked pies and delicious cakes. Thoroughly recommend a stop at this place. Quite small but lovely cosy atmosphere with books to browse through as well!

They are very hospitable here. We stopped by for coffee, but they allow you to use their tables when eating your own picnic food. Next time we will try their lovely pastries and scones. Nice setting surrounded by native bush and a short stroll to the Bridge and the walks in the area.

We stopped for coffee, they were very accommodating, coffee was great. But their pastries and breakfast items looked fabulous. We tried two different fritters and a sausage roll. WINNER
