Our evening at the Caicos Cafe was a delightful journey of dining pleasure set against an enchanting backdrop, nestled under the sprawling branches of a very old Royal Poinciana tree.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and attended to with excellent service...that was both attentive and prompt, setting a high standard for the evening.
The starter of burrata with wilted tomatoes was a triumph. The creaminess of the burrata was balanced beautifully by the tangy tomatoes - an absolute must-try for any cheese lover.
My grandson ventured to the seas with a selection of the tuna carpaccio. Scoring a generous 9 out of 10, the delicate, thinly sliced tuna set the bar high for his main, the Faroe Island salmon. This dish, another favorite of mine, was equally lauded and reaffirmed the restaurant's prowess with seafood.
Opting for a lighter main course, I selected the tuna tartare. While it might not have been the best I've ever had, it was certainly delicious. The wasabi dressing added a layer of complexity to the dish, providing a subtle kick to the fresh tuna.
The star of the evening, according to my wife, was the ribs. She commended them for being tender to the point of falling off the bone, while also boasting a pleasantly tangy flavor that set them apart.
Equally noteworthy was the outstanding bread service, possibly one of the best on the island. An assortment of fresh breads accompanied our meals, further adding to the overall dining experience.
Despite the impressive quality of the food, the prices remained reasonable - an additional factor that cemented our decision to return. With its warm hospitality, prompt service, and culinary delights, the Caicos Cafe provided a memorable dining experience that we cannot wait to repeat.More
