Just a short stroll, however, and you are into a more modern world of cutting edge eateries, boutique shops and forward-thinking design.

The Gir Lion Lodge experience surpassed all our expectations and was truly memorable. The after hours tours were exceptional. It felt so special to have the grounds to ourselves and to see the animals in their prime - we had Bhanu the Lion roaring, JayJay the Tiger playing with his daughter, enrichment fun with Misha the Aardvark and kisses from Jimmy and Yoda the Gibbons to name but a few. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and the accommodation was divine.
