My tip today would be for people to follow the TSA on Instagram (tsa)—at times funny, scary, but always very informative. I’ve featured the TSA’s Instagram handle before but never as a tip. It’s a good source of travel help, as seen around July 4 this year. The TSA is also great on Twitter, as Chrissy Teigen once found out.

The video above from YouTuber Cargospotter. In the video, an Embraer E190 comes in to land at Skiathos Airport (JSI) in Greece just above the heads of onlookers. Skiathos Airport, which serves the island of Skiathos, is famous for the public access it allows people near the runway. For this reason, people sometimes refer to it as the “European Sint Maarten.”

I was fortunate to meet Buzz Aldrin a couple of times including on a special Emirates A380 flight. I noticed a well-dressed man taking a picture with a reluctant young kid. I overheard the mother ask the boy, "Do you realize how famous this man is?" I whispered to one of my friends, "Who's the famous dude?" When the reply was Buzz Aldrin, I almost spit out my croissant. When the moment was right I approached him.. (TA won't let me write more than 500 characters so go to @JohnnyJet on Instagram

I have a quote in this CNN Travel article. There's no way the airlines would be doing this for the environment. It's all about saving $ on fuel.

If you have a long layover in Madrid and have access to the Iberia Club lounge be sure to take a shower to freshen up. They clean it after each use and give you a packet with three towels. I went from looking and feeling like a zombie to a human being.
