Black-faced Spoonbill Covered with white feathers, the black-faced spoonbill resembles an egret. However, its black bill, which looks like a Chinese musical instrument called a pipa, is distinctive. It is considered endangered and there are only about 4,000 in the world. Every winter, over 300 visit Hong Kong and stay mainly in the Deep Bay area. You can find them in Tai Sang Wai, Nam Sang Wai, Hong Kong Wetland Park and Mai Po Nature Reserve.
