The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
A must do in Boston. We didn’t even really like baseball until we came to watch the Red Sox. Despite them getting beaten 8-0, it was a great watch. The crowd were amazing and the old stadium has a charm to it. Just be wary to try and get seated away from the grandstand beams!
This museum was built by ISABELLA Gardner. She copied an Italian Villa and sent the parts to Boston.
She was known for having several boyfriends and was a great art collector.
The gift shop is great and the museum has a 5 star restaurant.
Reservations a must.
The Commonwealth Avenue Mall is an amazing place to go for a walk, or to take your dog for a walk no matter the time of year. Right off of Newbury Street, you are quickly taken away from all of the shoppers and tourists.
Spanning a number of blocks, there are benches for you to sit, rest or have something...
Great atmosphere as we visited for orientation week with our daughter. Newbury street is just around the corner. We enjoyed also the Convocation ceremony and a musical produced by the students, called 'Tell Your Story'.
Cynthia was really special. They didn't offer Makers Mark but she helped find the best bourbon substitute (there were many other premium bourbon choices)
She helped us with the oyster choices, giving us a nice sampling, as well as other food selections.
The monkfish and salmon were delicious. As good as it was, I couldn't quite finish the salmon but...
Came first time ever and saw the fenway field though not very well through the dirty window, grates and mesh. But it was a fun place with friendly bartenders and patrons. struck up a conversation or exchanged pleasantries with many. Bar prices seemed average.
Great place to spend some time after the game to allow the crowds to disperse. We had the regular burgers, chocolate shakes and the 50-50 fries
And onion rings, all were very good and worth going back for .
This place rocked!!!!! The staff was over the top friendly and helpful!!!!! I can’t wait to stay here again!!! If your a fan of vinyl records you have found your Home!!!! Listening to records at nice in our room topped off a great day. Best of all it is right in front of Fenway Park literally a 5 minute walk...
Awesome, service was impeccable, room service food above average, room resently renovated. Convenient to many great restaurants and of course the Red Sox and Fenway Park. If you want to feel special this is the place to stay.

This was a cool hotel with luxurious bedding and awesome sweatshirt style robes. Several rooms of this hotel have views of Fenway for Redsoxs fans. The Hotel Commonwealth is within walking distance to the ball field and many of the wonderful sites in downtown Boston. The staff was beyond friendly and eager to please. Expect to pay for the convenience...
We stayed overnight prior to my surgery at BWH so we could relax N enjoy Boston. Close to Fenway Park, cool bars, restaurants, coffe shops and burger bars. Awesome location and my surgery was a success.
