If you want to visit a traditional Chinese water town without leaving the city of Shanghai, Qibao is the place to go. It's close to a metro station as well as many bus stops. Can be packed during weekends and holidays, although most people there seem to be chinese. They have great xiaolongbao and other tasty street food.

As I said, there are quite a fair bit of shops selling men's clothes and shoes. By that I mean 6 or 7, which is quite a lot compared to what we get along streets. The selection are good and the prices are relative inexpensive.
Other than this, there are a few shops selling Korean style of clothing for women....
Nice atmosphere, tasty bar food and some great craft beers. I really enjoyed the Witch Craft IPA that is locally brewed. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different beers he has on tap. Well worth a visit to old town to have a few pints.
I stayed only for one night at Fujian hotel. My room was quite good. Comfortable, excellent after a busy day. Breakfast good. Traditional Chinese breakfast. One positive aspect was laundry service. I asked to them urgent service and a couple of hours late my clothes were available at my room.
Room was comfortable and breakfast was also good. Half hour drive from downtown but metro station make it quick to reach the city center. Staff of the hotel was good and careful. Warm water available round the clock.
