this might be a tourist attraction, but it is also a temple where local people go to pray and do their Buddhist kinds of stuff.
I highly recommend you, it is less crowded that the Lama Temple in Beijing, also smaller.
"Close to Longhua temple and not crowded. Very serene."

Most people won't come here even though it's right next to the Longhua temple. It's a park with memorials and sculptures meant to honor those who were executed for being communists. It's a large park with sculptures scattered around. There is a well curated museum in the center where you can learn more of the history.
it was cool to see some of the ancient architecture like this still standing and being preserved. This was one of the reasons we came to china was to see structures like this. The tower was cool, wish we could have went up inside it.
If you want a cheap way to get around to some of the major tourist attractions this pass is only $80 RMB (less than $20 AUD) per day and can only be purchased at the stops. That is the only good thing I have to say. Staff have care factor 0 about clients. Half the time they forget to turn...

I had the Three...
Typical Taiwanese taste and full of choices and contents, from food court cousins to luxury buffet, these restaurants are amazingly impressive the bakery besides is also delicious and healthy worthy of even only window shopping !
Took a chance and booked a quite cheap hotel close to subway line 11, still fairly central. Got positively surprised by this place. It was clean, room got what I needed and the breakfast included was acceptable. So good value.
"Great hotel. Beds were extremely comfortable, large room, close to subway, friendly service"

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be fairly centrally located within Shanghai. The hotel is directly above a subway with 2 main lines. We got this hotel as a special deal on agoda and as backpackers this deal allowed us 4-5 star luxury accommodation for the price of some of the local backpackers hostels. We...
