You have to go inside to really appreciate this building.
An example of not just a pretty face on the outside. Pudong Development Bank (the one with the dome), site of the old HSBC Building (originally built in 1923). The inside mosaics ceiling that you'll see as you go through the ornate old style revolving door (you have to push...

Lovely old world Shanghai architecture. Beautiful buildings with narrow lanes and a courtyard pond area.
Big crowds in the afternoon so come early and beat the throngs of tourists.
It’s generally a shopping area with a number of Chinese bakery shops, candy / treat shops and an array of tourist trinket and souvenir shops.
We walked from here to the...
"A terrific cold-day visit that kept the entire family entertained "

Was pleasantly surprised by the high standard of this Musuem. It was clean, not full, entertaining and exciting for young and old. And educational. To top it off staff we’re keen to help, take photos and explain in English!
"Nice building in Downtown but the place no longer hosts services in Englis apparently"

Nice building right in the heart of the city but it doesn't look like the palce hosts services in English anymore. Information is a bit confusing though. Went there to check myself and was told that services in English are no longer held at this church. For that I found Shanghai Community Fellowship at a not too far neighborhood.
Service was excellent! We had a waiter called Kevin who was really nice and served us the whole night! Also Charlos and Summer are two other great members of staff. Come to this place and enjoy the great view!
Amazing food and service, couldn’t stop praising the food the whole meal and waiter paired it with a great red wine. Couple dinner here with an evening of live Jazz/Blues music across the road and your in for a great evening!

Really love it! A perfect mix of Jap, South American specialties and great drinks from all over the world.
Nice ambience, cool guys. Highly suggested for a nice dinner with friends of couple and also for a drink! 👏
I'm really impressed by the overall design of the hotel. The Hotel lobby is my favorite feeling. The view and comfort of the rooms impressed me as well. The Hotel services are also in place, making me feel at home.
A beautiful luxurious hotel, probably one of the most expensive hotels in Shanghai. Very convenient location. Great view overlooking the bund. Staff are professional and helpful all the time. Breakfast is fantastic! Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Highly recommended!
A simple hotel can sometimes be the best. A delightful establish in the center of Shanghai, China, Le Royal Meriden is certainly one of the best luxury hotels that I have stayed in. At the time I am writing this, this was my 2nd time at this hotel and I am happy to say that the experience was just as...
The hotel is very well located and super swanky (double doors into the bathroom - mind blowing). A very 30s" feel.
Really the only down points were:
- breakfast, chaotic, being shouted by a French man for "stealing his breakfast", I have no idea, but wasn't for me to sort out
- leaving the hotel. We booked a...
Nice hotel, good amenities, food has some “western” options that help a lot. Minor maintenance issues. Bathroom is good! Good option if for the area! The communication in English with some staff is challenging, including the guy in the front desk, but most of them friendly and helpful.
