Our kids always enjoy visiting historical houses, stately homes etc, mainly due to the grandeur... this did not disappoint them. Well worth an hour or two. The audio guides are only R$5 and well worth it.
Though the museum/ palace is a little run down, it is still an important tourist destination. It is cheap entrance or you can go on the free day, check the website for updated info (things always change). The most interesting parts is the giant painting called "A Pátria" that represents the beginnings of Brazil as a republic. At the top...
Our tour stopped here for a few minutes. We saw many families eating picnics. There are great views of the bay and Sugarloaf mountain. We saw some bicycle paths. We were told that the swimming is not good here.
We went to this museum, because we wanted to go to the Christ (with a van, from the square nearby), but seen that it is hidden in clouds. We were lucky, exhibition was interesting (for us), and coffee and a cake in the cafe upstairs also good. I would not go there specially, but if you are anyway in the...
When we went there there was an exhibition of short film by the Belgian artist Chantal Akerman. Tis would have been good material for a modern art gallery, however it just didn't seem to fit here, and a lot of it just went over our heads as being pretentious. There was one room of interest, the actual space where telecommunications...
Excellent location, near the subway in the Flamengo district. Amazing food, great selection of dishes, fresh fish, and extremely friendly service. Fair prices. It is much better now that it has moved to a greater place on the same street. I recommend it strongly.
"Best pork rind I’ve ever had because it was made some pork belly"

I wish I could give our experience at this restaurant more than a five star!
I didn’t know where to start, the salad bar was incredible. I was really looking forward to the whole Brazilian dining experience, a real one, because I was in Brazil. Don’t get me wrong I do love Rodizio’s in Colorado but this restaurant was incredible...

"Old school steakhouse with friendly service."

Churrascaria Majorica is a great place to have a traditional steakhouse meal in Brazil. We much preferred the a la crate ordering here to the typical endless meat carving at other places. The service was really friendly and it seemed like everyone was family here. Would recommend.
Average hotel. Beds are comfortable enough to pass out on for Carnival. Breakfast is ok, have eggs, fruit, breads and pastries. Close to shops and metro. Was part of tour package for Carnival to stay at Regina. Recommend to stay elsewhere if you want more of a comfortable stay.
Hotel is excellently situated for walking around to restaurants at night.
Room was very large.
There are 9 floors of rooms with the 10th floor for the pool. I was on the second floor.
My floor had a strong smell of cigarette smoke when passing some clearly smoking rooms. I did not think they still had smoking rooms. Thank goodness...
I've never seen in my life a cleanness like this in this category of Hotel. Good breakfast, well located with a big garage, good size of the rooms, nice crew . If I look for a default, the only one is the windows without view. A little shower in the shower cabinet would be better too. I recommend this hotel.
We stayed there for four nights, in spacious enough room ,in morning we have a good breakfast ,there is large lobby with comfy chairs. Hotel is nice Flamengo neighborhood. There is few parillas and not far is small food market.
If you are looking for a place for the night to wait out and catch a bus/plane to your next destination then this place will do. Everything about it is average, facilities, dining options, room. The staff are friendly. There’s nothing much to say about this place because it’s just a budget hotel. No frills
