Crowds of tourists, both local and international take in Old Arbat and its modern and gigantic peer – New Arbat. One reason visitors keep coming is no doubt Konstantin Melnikov’s famous private house, now open to the public and worthy of a visit. After exploring one of the oldest parts of Moscow, avoid the crowds and turn to the side streets and boulevards where calmness and affordable food is plentiful.
There is so much to take in the first time, so just explore. And it will be free! Then you can tour St. Basel Cathedral and/or inside the Kremlin next time. Stroll through GUM department store as well. Prices are high, but there are some souvenir shops that are reasonaly priced, since it is not at the airport. Metro stops...
The skyline of the 1.5 km street is defined by four 26-storey office building occupying 800 meters of the south part of the boulevard; the first two floors are shops and cafes with an 18-meter sidewalk running along the windows partially protected by a canopy that protects pedestrians from the weather and sun. The four office buildings originally housed eight...
Every day with pass this building on the way to the Kremlin open reviewing a few sites at TripAdvisor I found a little more about this house.
The mansion was built in 1883 and has recently been restored to its original glory; even though it’s not possible to visit the interior, just by admiring the painstaking work of every detail...

Located in about the center of the pedestrian Arbat street this place is for me definetely more of a bar than a restaurant, and usually these kind of places one finds in Tripadvisor under 'Attractions'. In fact I came here because of the good reviews, but it was not exactly what I had expected under 'restaurants'. In any case I...
1st time in this restaurant! My friend recommended! Not disappointed at all! Food was tasty and service was equally good! The chicken noodle soup, fried chicken and the breads were all very good! The double layered hachapuri was awesome! Recommend!! Btw it cost $45 usd for 2 pax!
I had a dinner with a business partner. The place is really nice despite being situated in the middle of a large hall. Nevertheless, it even adds an additional space to the place. Service is good and food is tasty. It was my first time there yet I’d like to visit it once again.
We stayed there and it was amazing, really beautiful hotel with its style, as it was still decorated for christmas- amazing look. The room we had was big and comfy, the breakfast is rich of foods, even with red caviar and pancakes, we suggest to stay there, hotel is very close to saharin restaurant- just cross the street :)
I stayed in this hotel for a business for a couple of days. Good breakfast, comfortable rooms, spacious bathroom, coffee, water.
Personnel is very kind and friendly. Would stay here again when next time in Moscow
