Yes, you have to go (I sound like a tour guide now). Talk about conspicuous consumption! They had unlimited wealth and wanted everyone to know it. Its a HUGE place. Lots of gold leaf, lots of interesting exhibits, I took tons of photos. This is well worth a visit.
if you are interested in nomadic culture.
Everything can be touched. You come for stories to real houses of various tribes.
Stories are also very interesting.
You should register before coming (museum is open not everytime).
A rare monument of Russian architecture has been preserved to the present time practically unchanged. Very similar to the Church of the Transfiguration na Peskah (on the Sands), which appeared in the same year – apparently, was built on the same project. Despite the fact that the construction of the stone church was financed by the representative of the Protestant...
Nice, middle sized park almost in the center. There is a place for sport activity and some children ground area. You can get coffee or some small snacks here (you have to pay for them of course). There are few old buildings in the area. Good place for a walk or take a rest.
"Really home-style cooking and attentive service "
reviewed July 12, 2019 by laststation45
The team of the restaurant is fabulous: attentive, polite, hard-working people. And they deliver both- home style cooking and good service. The decor is lovely and they have folk singers on weekends, which make a very relaxing atmosphere and you can enjoy the food and the entertainment. Strongly recommend the visit, don't hesitate and you will get a home welcome...

"Nice place but needs more beer"
reviewed September 6, 2017 by vavania
It was automatic "pub" in soviet time here. Then Uzbek restourant. Now English pub.
Nice place with polite staff. Lanch is 280 rubles. Every day different but recently got stomach problems after "golubcy" and keeping away so far. English pub needs wider range of beer and it is not cheap for this location.
Would not stay here again, the rooms have very small TV, old furniture and basic accommodations. The property is located in the north east part of the city, on the outskirts. It does not provide breakfast and overall was below expectations.
