Carefree enthusiasm is everywhere in this energetic neighborhood centered on Hongik University, Korea’s top art school. From its assortment of murals to the occasional amateur street performances, creativity and expression make up the wild and beating heart of vibrant Hongdae. At the Free and Hope Market (weekends at the Hongdae Children’s Playground) you'll find one of Seoul’s most popular handmade and creative markets drawing consistent crowds. At Hongdae, there’s never a shortage of things to do and see; food and drink options are nearly endless as are shops and noraebang (karaoke) rooms. Hongdae is also one of Seoul’s top party and club scenes catering to a younger demographic; if a packed club isn’t your scene, you'll also find a range of music venues and bars offering live music in all genres. Although Hongdae has lost much of its unique appeal and undergone rapid commercialization in recent years, be sure to explore Hongdae’s edges in areas such as Sangsu-dong and Yeonnam-dong where Hongdae’s fiercely independent streak still runs freely.
Unforgettable experience! Museum located in unexpected area of Hongik Uni. Before entering u download an app in which U make photo or video. Better video because it will provide u with amazing special effects like in fantasy movies. Every corner of the museum has its own thematic venue. Kids shall be definitely happy. There is also an ice museum with...
This young and vibrant shopping district has more locals than tourists compared to Myeongdong. There are more shoppings and it is a good place to understand the local culture. There are no lack of restaurants in Hongdae.

This was so much fun and a great laugh! A must do along with the Trickeye Museum. It was fun to see such a crazy place in what is a pretty conservative city. Don’t be shy, go and have a laugh it’s well worth it for the hilarious photos you’ll get!
One of the famous universities in Korea. Well known for its architect and art & design. The area surround the university is vibrant and hip. Creativity rules. The university has some famous entertainment artist alumni.
+ They serve delicious cuts of both pork and beef! (some places only have either one)
+The staff will help you out if you are a newbie.
+ Very good banchans and sauces to go along with the meat. Although they did not serve us any kimchi which would have been nice.
+ Its all on genuine glowing hot charcoal....
"Definitely worth going to if you are around the area"

Definitely worth going to if you’re round the area in Hongdae. What I like about it is that they cook the chicken for you beforehand and that helps to minimize the chances of you getting food poisoning due to raw poultry.
Would recommend you to get the cheese set if you love cheese and add in some ramen noodles. The...
My family members have a great time staying here. Convenient venue near lively Hongik-university. The interior is modern, cozy room.
I would really underscore the great service of staffs who went above and beyond serve our family’s frequent help request. We have perfect and pleasant stay. The only thing was not there was swimming pool but this is urban hotel...
Good location: So many GOOD local restaurants nearby, close to subway (Hongik Univ exit 1 with escalators which is close to hotel, exit 9 with lift) and airport bus stop
Good facilities: clean and tidy room, power plugs suit for different adapters, drinking water supplies at the corridor, room window able to open (very important to me If central air...
This hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of their efficient service. On two occasions we requested for iron and cloth hangers through phone and also on the ipad(provided). I think the ipad was the best solution for language barrier between foreigners and hotel service staff. Both times, the hotel responded to our requests within 5mins. As mentioned by previous posts,...
Only the location that I think it was great. The room was ok but a bit aging. Me and my friend booked for two beds and ended up having three. Waste of space but ok. Our room wasn’t clean properly but too tired to request to change the room. All in all, it was ok but will not return.
If you need a place to sleep and shower since you’ll be out and about, this hotel is for you.
Overall, easy to locate and about a 5-10mins walk to Hongik University Station, Exit 1. Extremely close to Hongdae area where exits are easily accessible by walking through the underpass
