The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
"Fisherman’s bastion - The best views in Budapest !!!"

The Fisherman’s Bastion – world famous for its turrets and for spires – is one of the most well-known attractions of the Buda Castle area, and provides perhaps the most beautiful panorama of the city from the Buda side over the river Danube and its attractions in Budapest. It is also one of the most famous and favoured destinations for...
I really enjoyed my visit! Staff was absolutely wonderful: warm, welcoming and very helpful. The atmosphere was peaceful and the views from the top floor were beautiful. Their collection was versatile and interesting, especially the sculpture garden was wonderful.
I highly recommend for everyone to pay a visit to this gallery!
We've had a number of trips to Budapest, and Matthias Church is somewhere we never tire of.
As an amateur photographer who loves shooting architecture, this church just has it all! The architecture alone is fantastic, and the painted walls and ceiling are just mind-blowing - I can never decide what to shoot first. I've often said to my wife...
We got a Bolt to the top of the hill as it saved us time and effort with just arriving in the city. Thee is plenty to see with some amazing buildings and even more amazing views of the city below, chain bridge and parliament. Definitely worth the views in the evening when everything i lit up.
Very nice staff, interesting museum. Would have been nicer with a tour guide that was more engaged. The guide was fine, but a bit monotone in delivery. Maybe more details and personal stories of people who had experiences there would be interesting. Cool place to visit though!

Very nice little cozy place in the heart of the Castle District of Buda. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they make excellent coffee too. The cakes and toast are very tasty aswell. I would absolutely suggest this amazing little coffee to everyone who visits Budapest.

At first I was a bit disappointed and annoyed when the waiter at the bar stared and made fun of us (maybe because we're Asians and it's in the middle of COVID-19 outbreak) despite all that, we decided to went in for a dinner.
I'm giving 4 stars because a different waiter attended our table, his name is Andrew -...

"This proved to be the best"

This proved to be the best meal we had out of eight restaurants sampled in Budapest. Great and very polished staff who know their menu and wine list. We all ate great food and enjoyed trying local wines. There was a piano player in site for much of our meal which wouldn’t normally appeal to me but this restaurant is...
The property is located in the very heart of historic district on the top of the hill. A lot of imposing architecture in vicinity; very clean, safe and organized district. The bus station for the center lies just 100 m away from the hotel.
Every room is unique, luxury bathroom furniture and romantic touches. All very clean. Breakfast area is...
We were looking for a boutique hotel to stay at during our stay in Budapest as we prefer a more intimate and personalised experience. I am SO glad I found Hotel Clark - from the location (perfectly situated) to the staff - every aspect was great.
For 2 weeks before our arrival we were in communication about booking restaurants and...

My boyfriend and I had the best room with the best view on the 5th floor overlooking this amazing city during our romantic weekend away in Budapest. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay the most unforgettable experience! Thank you for the warm welcome and thanks to Judit (at the reception) for making us feel special. Lovely...
I had a 2 night stay with my husband. The room was clean and stylish. It was in a very quiet part of town and right at the top of the hill. We walked everywhere but there is a bus that passes right by the hotel if you don't fancy the hills.
We had a meal at the hotel on...
