Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
You can see this spot from Coogee beach so it’s just a short walk from the end at the beach. So gorgeous with the rocks and the sea splashing in on the rocks. I real nice spot for taking great pictures as well as having a swim.
A number of classes are held here, under the shade and overlooking the waves and Wedding Cake island. The classes can be booked via Wylie’s website- under Health and Wellness Classes.
I recommend the classes by Yogarama- as I didn’t try any others, I can only suggest that they are probably equally good. There are Pilates classes , over 50’s...
Hugo and Daniel made our couple of days together fun and worthwhile. They were patient and helpful during the skill based sessions, and made sure we all had good experiences in the water. Highly recommended for those wanting to dip their flippered toes into the water.
Did not expect there to be a women's only beach in Australia and Sydney of all places! We spent the morning here rather than going to bondi beach. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The locals mainly go here. There's no beach as such but large rocks to sunbathe on. Also a pool to swim in which was amazing. Coogee...
Paige has the best hands in the business. Her facials are magical. Next level stuff.
I regularly go for a peel, and treat myself to a facial not nearly enough.
I trust Paige and her soundly advise. Never tries to upsell me, she is charming funny and her space is relaxing and smells divine.

"Food was nice and service was good"
reviewed 2 weeks ago by Michelle P
We ordered entree, pasta and a pizza to share. Was a busy Friday Night and the atmosphere was good. We did not make a reservation and just turned up and we sat at the bar for approximately 10 mins before being able to have a seat which was good. Food was good, bruschetta was ok not the best but pasta...
"Casual eatery with a great breakfast selection on Coogee Beach"
reviewed 3 days ago by EvanBocaFL
If you have a chance to go to this low key and beautiful Coogee Beach in Sydney, do not miss this casual restaurant, located across the street from one of the ends of the beach, where the breakfast selections are excellent. We did not have a chance to try it out for other meals.
Staff were very polite and helpful. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Beds are big and comfortable. Balcony view of the beach was beautiful.
My car broke down in there car park and the staff were so helpful.
Super convenient, quiet, and clean kitchenette hotel within walking distance to cute shops, restaurants and the beach. It worked well for my son and me and would highly recommend to groups or families.
Hotel is set at the top of the main shopping/dining precinct. Across the road are lawns then the beach. Storms are fantastic off the sea but sadly the rain comes straight through the sliding doors so couldn't experience the accompanying breeze. Beds face the sea so lovely to wake up to. Rooms and bathrooms are well appointed and light, clean...
So very pleased and happy with our accommodation at the Dive during he festtve season. The staff were very accommodating. View sensational. Accommodation Spacious. Breakfast adequate without being over the top. Will definitely recommend to family & friend. Will also book our next stay at Coogee with Dive Hotel
We first started visiting Coogee in 2015 and one of the first bars we went to was the CBH.
They’ve made some improvements in recent time’s and it’s become a bit of an institution in the Beach area.
Not sure it’s quite iconic yet but certainly close.
The Pros are it’s proximity to the Beach, it’s ability to cater for...
