The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.

I’ve been to Madame Tussaud’s elsewhere in the past and it has been a very hands-off “look but don’t touch” attraction.
Maybe times have changed or maybe it’s just Sydney but here to are encouraged to touch and interact with the models which made for a really fun time with the kids.
The quality of the models is better than...
My first priority when traveling to Australia for the first time was making my childhood dream of meeting a koala come true. I also had only 2 days in Sydney and this zoo made it possible to make my dream come true, see other animals and still do and see much more.
I went as soon as they opened in...

Sydney Sea Life Aquarium located at Darling Harbor is an amazing tourist attraction place. We reached this place with our niece (3 yrs old) and completely enjoyed the place. This place truly contains a large variety of Australian aquatic life - fishes, sharks, water creatures etc.
Glass viewing tunnels allow tourists to observe Australia's freshwater & marine aquatic environments in...
This historic swing bridge spans Darling Harbour and provides some 300m of strolling pleasure. It is a busy pedestrian bridge, affording an outlook over Darling Harbour. Provides good access to and from the CBD and Darling Harbour. My kids were a little disappointed that it didn’t swing open! 😂
What a gem! This playground features something for everyone! My teens had a great time challenging each other to climb the spiderweb and everyone - from the 84 year old down - had a blast in the water park section. It was a welcome surprise and some fun on our way to check out Darling Harbour. All ages, free. Allow...
9 of us visited The Malaya and we were really impressed by the overall ambience and vibe of the restaurant. The wait staff were courteous and the food didn't take too long to arrive.
We ordered a selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes across the menu and weren't disappointed. The food was great. My only critique is that some of...
Always has nice selection of meals at a very reasonable price. the quality of the dishes is always excellent and service is great as well
We just keep coming back and back again and are never disappointed
Sunday Lunch, it could not have been a nicer day, a little cooler than normal but what a spectacular place to dine overlooking Darling Harbour.
Our waiting staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and helped to make our dining experience so much more enjoyable.
Our food was beautifully presented and the textures and flavours were deeply satisfying.
Chef’s selection of desserts was...
A very nice restaurant. Great views over Darling Harbour. Service was good with nice menu with plenty of choices. The food was delivered promptly. The meals were well presented with a good portion size. The steak was cooked perfectly with a lovely flavour. The sides were nicely sized for two. Overall a great steak restaurant in a lovely location. Would...
Absolutely love staying at the Sofitel Darling Harbour staff are very friendly and willing to help you as soon as you walk through the front door The location in the middle of Darling Harbour is great with a great array of restaurants to choice from. Highly Recommend
Found it very nice liked the double windows to keep out the noise, room needed to be cleaner, the harbor was right there and it made for easy access to almost everywhere. The bridge walk over Darling Harbor was quite nice.
Love the seafood dinner on Saturday evening at the Sailmaker Restaurant and nice hotel to stay over for the weekend or longer. Helpful staff and really good location. Lovely views over Darling Harbour from rooms facing or when dining.
