reviewed January 28, 2019 by Rabih-SOUAID
Another beautiful monument commemorating a gifted artist.
Emil Jakob Schindler (1842 –1892) was an Austrian landscape painter.
Schindler marble statue Monument shows the painter sitting meditating on a boulder, a small Bouquet in hand.
We were here for the Sunday service, for the first time. The ceremony is in Romanian and it has 2 levels with different praying places, due to the large number of worshipers. On Sundays, the religious service starts at 8 o'clock at the underground level and at 10 o'clock at the upper main floor
Fortunately, this is nowhere near the normal Vienna tourist trail, it’s just a bit too far out. Probably the only way a tourist is going to come here is with a local and that’s the way I found it!.
Excellent local beer and a wide range of Austrian dishes all served with good humour and a lot of good suggestions...
If you visit Vienna and look for a real "Wiener Gasthaus", you have to go the heart of Simmering and visit the Pistauer. It is a small place, but you get great food and you also experience the typical Viennese "Gasthausfeeling". Far away from the touristic main stream places of the first district, this place is a must for you...
Visited twice here over a long weekend visit. The restaurant is nicely decorated, a little dated but nice in that way. Waitress was very attentive, her English wasn’t great but we tried to speak her language and she understood us.. Drinks were lovely, the Weissbier was the best! Food was great, good sized portions and tasted lovely. Would certainly recommend...
"Amazing traditional Austrian food and reasonably priced"
reviewed September 21, 2017 by halszkam2015
I just got a TripAdvisor account just to review this place. Absolutely amazing food with really good price. As this is outside of a tourist area you can be sure you're not overpaying and you get proper traditional food. The portions are huge as well! The waitress that served us didn't speak much English but she put so much effort...
The Hotel is very comfortable, clean rooms, nice interior, metrostation near to the Hotel, parking available, the staff is very helpful, good quality for the price, perfect for economical family stay, highly recommend.
We were booked in to this nice clean modern hotel by our tour operator. It is situated a few Kilometres from the centre of Vienna. However, the U - Bahn is virtually next door and it took approximately 9 minutes to go to Stephensplatz. The service is very regular - every 3/4 minutes and cost me 2.40 euros for a...
Modern rooms that were basic but I didn't want any more, except for a bathroom door. I mean what the heck, where is the bathroom door? Makes it uncomfortable and weird when you're on a group tour with people you've only known a week, to share a room and shower without a bathroom door. Doesn't seem so bad until your...
Stayed for 1 night. We took 6 rooms of single occupancy.
Lobby is inviting.
Rooms are very clean and quite.
Beds are comfortable.
Breakfast is basic but tasty and fresh.
The hotel is very very basic. but does the job wonderfully.
very convenient. close to public transportation.
When we arrived, the reception was open, receptionist gave us a key from our room and information that breakfast is till 9 am (btw everywhere at the hotel is written till 10 am). She really was not friendly, so we did not ask her about parking, we tried to find some information on the internet (which is free in the...
