You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
We passed by this miradouro more than once, in the morning, at evening, and it's not that crowded, and you can have a good sight of the town. It's fresh because of the shades made by the trees. As any miradouro, you'll see some cranes trying to ruin your picture.
This is a place where you'll get a nice place over the city. Go there during the day or at night, the view will be completly different. In my eyes, you should rather visit this place than the castle: the entrance is free and the view is almost the same!
The museum (which is located to the front right of the church) was a hidden gem and highlight of the trip for us.
This is the best display, which we encountered, of the famous white and blue tile work synonymous with Portugal.
It is worth noting that entrance was 5 euro at time of writing and it was cash only.

A place worth a visit. Downstairs you'll find some famous portuguese people. Going up, you will go through a exposition with some explanation about the building and finally the impressive cupula and the view over Lisbon.
Would recommend you to visit this place!
"Skip the Lisboa Cathedral and see this church instead"

This large, ornate, barrel-roof church is an excellent example of a Portugese cathedral. In fact, it is free to visit, and not that different from the main Lisbon cathedral, which costs 4 Euros to visit. So... tour this one, and skip the other.
Made a reservation at Estamine Art Food Drink prior to our visit to Lisbon based on the fabulous reviews. We walked from the train station. Joice and Luis had warned us about the hill. They told the truth ..... it’s steep 😊 We were warmly welcomed and Joice explained the menu to us. There was already a party of 4...
Quite possibly some of the best sushi I've ever had. As a plant-based eater on a trip with a few carnivores, I was very excited to spot this place and made it a point to visit it for lunch on one of our days in Lisbon (13 Feb 2020). The waitress and the chef were both very friendly. The chef...
This is an unpretentious little restaurant that serves delicious food. My daughter and I had the 10 course taster menu and loved everything even though there were a few things I wouldn’t normally chose on it. The waiter was charming. We both really enjoyed it. They altered the recipes to suit my daughters intolerance to chillies.

"If Six Stars Existed....."

This was the best accidental find ever! Very very small, intimate and laid back. Amazing wine, food and just charming ambience and service... rather like eating in the house of a good friend. We have already made a reservation to go back before the end of our visit and cannot wait.
Right from you enter Tings you feel the calm atmosphere, and that the place is something unique. Already from the outside the hotel stands out with the colorful walls in between the other houses. Tings got personality, and that is what makes a stay here something special. The concept is thought out with focus on creativity and a homely feeling...
We arrived about 10 p.m. so reception was calm, service fast but perfunctory. Happy with our immaculately clean room and stunning views of the city from our small balcony. Slept well through the night. Breakfast was ok, high in carbs, could be improved with eggs (may have to pay extra for that not sure). When asked, front desk helpful with airport...
