Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

"Super Easy to use!"

Everyone should ride the train to and from the airport. Super easy and quick. This station is close by major attractions and lots of hotels. We walked to our hotel Grand Amrath and it was easy. Best decision!
This is a great place to experience some Amsterdam history as well as a place to marvel at a true feat of engineering and architectural know-how. Plus, you also get to see the inside of an authentic "Amsterdam house'. Definitely worth a visit if you have the time.
This free (donations appreciated) attraction is run by a non-profit foundaton that takes in stray cats and finds them new homes. If you are on vaction and missing your own pets at home, stop by and pet a few cats and leave a donation for their care and feeding. It feels good to be able to help this worthy organization.
We had dinner with Martine and Olav yesterday! Wonderful food and hospitality! She is a professional chef and we loved all aspects of our dinner from Dutch appetizers to a splendid vegetable soup, delicious main course and homemade dessert. A highlight of our visit to Amsterdam!
Wow! The food at De Silveren Spiegel provides a feast for all the senses: visually stunning and surprising, bouquets of aromas, creaminess juxtaposed to crunch, explosions of flavor that are delicately balanced with nuances and hints of spices with layers of tastes that come together for a crescendo at the end of each course. The service is second to none....
Amazing selection of healthy shots and juices all made fresh in front of you!
Also a good range of healthy snacks catering for both gluten free and vegans.
Really helpful staff and lovely place to sit in.
If you have a sweet tooth, this place is a must when visiting Amsterdam. The most amazing sweet truffles you will ever taste. Be sure to get there early enough so they don't sell out (we missed out on the Stroopwaffel flavour as we visited in the afternoon). Friendly staff, cute shop.
The crew is easy going, makes you feel welcome and the food is exceptional. Only a few items on the menu which makes every dish their speciality and rightfully so. Street food vibe but served very neatly. I would definitely recommend it to my friends, why not the people of the internet.
Stayed in most 5 star hotels in the center of Amsterdam and this new boutique hotel on the best location in Amsterdam is the best. Everything new, good spa and very good service. Location is perfect, after staying 5 days I really felt at home.
If you are looking for an elegant extraordinary hotel in the heart of Amsterdam this is the perfect place to land. There is not one detail overlooked at this luxury boutique hotel, the service, the food , the decor is all outstanding! We have stayed here twice and we’ll be back!
The Ambassade Hotel is a 'boutique' hotel on one of the most picturesque canals in Amsterdam. The location is ideal....a few blocks from the Palace, old town, and about a 15 minute scenic walk along canals to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, among other things. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming, and they will arrange a private...
Luxury Suites is a beautiful hotel overlooking the canal. Our view was awesome, the room was large with a wonderful shower. They treat you like royalty, with a free glass of champagne on arrival. Three blocks to the heart of Amsterdam. We walked a mile or so each to the Rijksmuseum, Heineken and Anne Frank House, past dozens of cozy...
Beautiful hotel. Friendly and professional, helpful staff. Hope to return.
The only criticism I have is about the size of the room. There was very little room for luggage, but it was possible to make do.I would still return to this hotel as the location was excellent.....walking distance to many sites, restaurants, shops, etc.
