The monument pays tribute to the thousand Canadian soldiers marching through the streets of Amsterdam and symbolizes the new liberty of the citizens after the war's end. Nice design and well executed.Nice monument, worth a look and a moment's contemplation on the happiness of being liberated.

This place was absolutely amazing. It's a hotel restaurant which gave me pause, but I have to say this place blew me away. The staff was exceptionally accommodating, professional and if I'm not mistaken were all actually Italian, which doesn't make a difference to me but it added to the experience; you almost feel like you're actually in Italy. The hotel was lovely, with comfortable clean rooms and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was buffet style...

Well done Apollo; well done. I love to be greeted after a day of flying with a smiling, attentive, and personable human! The staff here, is IMO world-class. Everyone had a smile on their face ...it seemed almost like a scene from Stepford Wives (LOL). The food was fabulous and the coffee was incredibly amazing. I couldn't stop ordering the...

Would stay again
We had a pleasant stay. Nice big room, good breakfast. A pity that the restaurant was still open after we were told that it would be closed. We would have liked to go there. The first evening when we sat in the bar the staff present kept laughing and joking, as if we weren't there.
