Lootsstraat once had a public library - the giant bookcase (filled painstakingly with ceramic books - a nearby photo on the wall shows you the process by which it was done). It's really striking. The titles and authors are all real and all are local. It's a great visual way to remember the street's past and to get passers by...
Cool artwork, lovingly executed in good detail. The bench next to the sculpture is apparently a favourite hangout for some. When I visited the bench was fully occupied and the stage for big and small conversations. Excellent symbolism.
We spent a lot of time in here and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Staff are really nice and have a lot of knowledge. You can purchase weed and hash across the road at Kashmir cafe and then smoke in the kashmir lounge. Even the tables are beautiful with the different designs. Reasonable prices too.
We came here last night to get some late food and couple of beers. The two girls working there, Lela and Roberta are super friendly and very welcoming. I recommend come here for the Burgers that are 5stars!
Will surely be back, totally recommend this place.
We had an excellent experience at this restaurant in Amsterdam. After have been to Bali for two weeks during the summer, this place would have been good to compare to actual authentic Indonesian food. Walking into this restaurant, the atmosphere and design of this place was an amazing first impression.
The place we had our table was on a ledge...
STEEP stairs... But thats grand.. nice location in the museumplein area.. Right beside the trams for easy transport to all areas of the city. Small walk to bars and restaurants. Had a nice stay here, bedroom clean and shared bathroom was clean.
