The bridge was designed by Berlage and is decorated with a bridge house on the city side, with a ceramic artwork on it facing the water, designed by Hildo Krop. Nice enough bridge, historically significant, was almost blown up by the resistance at the end of WW2 to hinder the German army retreating.
It was a nice experience to be able to enter this house and saw the architecture inside. We visited the house when there was a preparation of a wedding party. We didn't have a chance to go to the second floor. It's such a nice place for a party. It has a beautiful garden.
A really unique experience. We had a warm welcome from the gentleman working there who gave us a card with English translation and checked on us a few times to make sure we were okay. It was fascinating to see the different funeral rituals and it was all well presented. If you feel like doing something a bit different then...
We were recommended De Kas by a friend who comes to Amsterdam regularly and we were so glad we booked a table - lovely restaurant in a beautiful green house - great and friendly service and food was outstanding.
We had oysters to start - Thai style - they were delicious!Mainly vegetarian with some fish and great wine

"Great Location To Eat"

We are visiting the restaurant from day 2 after their opening night. The kitchen has definitely improved since. We had always mixed feelings, sometimes the food was good, other times it was not good at all; mainly because the fusion cooking didn't work for us. Since a year we consider the food consistently good. For instance this week we had...
"Relaxed atmosphere but highly professional chef and service"

Don't be folled by the very simple decoration, more country-style bistrot than fashionable. There is a menu with a number of servings that can vary depending on how hungry you are. The choice is limited but the food is very creative, beautifully presented, and perfectly served. A great place to go back to.
casual setting with great food selection, proper wines and top service. Dishes are classics but served in a modern way.
Finish your night with a coffee and a nice digestif.
Don't worry about the fact you cannot reserve a table, it is no punishment to sit and wait at their bar.
Beautiful hotel, I absolutely fell in love with the decoration of the ‘Lobby’. Where you can sit to have a drink, or have some food. Located near the train station. The staff is very friendly! Would definitely recommend.
Stayed here for 4nights on a trip with a friend. On arrival the staff were very nice and welcoming. The room was so clean. The breakfast was delicious and there was a wide variety to choose from. We had access to the spa on site which was lovely. We even went down to the bar as well as it was...
Hotel is amazing great staff was able to borrow two travel adaptors for the socket in bedroom to charge the phones we had a lovely room and it was a lovely drive from the airport in a taxi we the hotel was next to the train station that took you into Amsterdam Central Station and city
Very friendly and helpful staff who looked after me during a short-notice visit to see a sick family member. Good selection of beers at the bar. While not located downtown, still pretty convenient and within a reachable walk of the beautiful Amstel Canal with lots of great neighbourhood (non-tourist) cafes, bars and restaurants.
Very friendly and cheerful staff who are always willing to assist. Nice, clean and comfortable room even if it's a squezze. Good breakfast buffet. The train is about 10 minutes walk but the wind is rather chilly. There's a boat that goes to Centraal just behind the hotel. Only 1 trip at 9.30 daily. Uber and taxi is easy to...
