"Refreshing look at the lovely del Sarto Cenacola"
reviewed March 22, 2019 by wendyb11934
Tucked away in the San Salvi chapel in a quiet area of Florence and well worth the trip to find it. Also in the same chapel are many other fine paintings including a few by a nun. The visit was delightfully quiet.
Do you know that soccer was born in Florence? Nowadays you can see the soccer origins (dating from the Renaissance) during games of "Calcio storico fiorentino" (a game which is nearer to rugby) between may and june in Piazza Santa Croce...but our Temple of Italian Soccer, the modern game I mean, is here, in Florence, because in the Coverciano section...
We had dinner here because it was the only opened restaurant in the area, that evening. A nice surprise. We had tasty local dishes (very good pasta), accompanied by very good house wine. Not fancy, fair prices and good service.
Is a nice hotel not too far
away from the center off town 3,5 km very close to bus stop. The recepsion is very friendly spesialy Cassandra. Is a good solution for visit florence the only search for the room price because the price is different at the sites not use booking is very high
