The church of Santa Maria, is in my opinion, one of the best looking in Milan; built in the 15th century in the Renaissance style it has a porticoed entrance like that of Sant'Ambrogio. Inside the transition between Renaissance and Baroque decorations is splendid, with beautiful gilded carvings and decorations, also beautiful is the big central dome. Right next to...
The three halls/chapel contain religious paintings, a treasure and, as the highlight, the Ark of Saint Peter of Verona, which is stunning sculptural work from the first half of 1300s. As a positive aspect, the chapel and the Ark are well documented in English. The basilica itself (entry included in the ticket) does not particularly stand out compared to many...
"A great experience but I can understand frustrations."

This exceeded expectations based on reviews I read.
- many good exhibits. Loved half the floors of Torre, loved the Nord exhibit (Liu Ye), and Cinema (Processo Grotessco)
- beautiful grounds that are a nice escape from the more crowded city and provide a nice backdrop/juxtaposition to some of the Torre exhibits.
- not as far from city center...
Very cosy and nice place for diner! The menu offers you to choose many ingredients, so you can make the perfect poke! I like the music and the service! I ordered cooked salmon with many vegetables, it was so tasty!!!
We ate there for lunch.
The prices are accurate for the quality of the food and service.
The “parpadele funghi porcini” were delicious as well as the rest of the food and deserts we served.
The service was good, typical italian restaurant, very clean.
Would come again!

The breakfast was delicious and the wait staff very polite and obliging.
We are returning to Milan I’m the near...
"Decent, budget hotel in a residential area... just a tram ride away from the Duomo"
reviewed July 22, 2019 by ath0z
Hotel Palladio is a decent hotel in a residential area. It is a 10-12 minute walk from the nearest metro station. The tram which takes you directly to the Duomo is just around the corner.
At first I wasn't too thrilled with the location as it felt a bit out of the way from the main tourist areas. But as...
Location is just next to Lodi metro which is a plus for every hotel to be located meters away from a main line.
Staff is welcoming. Rooms are not big, nothing fancy and a little bit tired. However they are clean with good internet connection. Close the window if you want a good sleep, it can be noisy outside.
