Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
Definitely recommend this museum if you want to learn more about Catalonia. Was 6 euros and you can easily spend a couple hours here. You follow the history of the region chronologically, and the exhibits are also kid friendly and equally interesting for adults! Most information is in Catalan, Spanish and English, however some of the information about specific artefacts...
Beautiful, clean beach provides a nice walk into Barcelona City. Plenty of people enjoying the many activities available on the beach. Really pleasant, though a slightly cool wind.
It was great being able to follow the cities beaches for so long.
Food was delicious, looked nice. Staff members was polite and tried to make us happy. It was nice and worm on the terasse and we were all surprised how much spirit we get (pink gin, lemonade) for the price really good value. Back in Birmingham that amount of gin vould be triple. Really nice customer service!
We received warm welcome. Got treated with coffee at cafe.
Breakfast was okay, but there are many restaurants nearby, so we ate of these.
They have a casino on the first floor, which was nice.
Best of all, they surprised us newly wed event. Had a picture of the chocolate surprise event, but dont have the image atm. (Thank you...
Stayed in this hotel few weeks ago. It nice hotel, clean, friendly staff, but already needs some renovation. Breakfast is very good and with big selection of food. Close to center and almost on the beach. Has underground parking (paid).
First of all I have to give credits to the entire staff of the hotel. The employees are very friendly. Someone that I won’t never forget is Angelo, the Dutch Guy (not sure if he’s Dutch though) working in the lobby. He took great care of us. He’s always smiling and recommend us some great hotels in town. He always...
Nice and clean hotel with nice location near the beach, restaurants and shopping.
Breakfast offered at hotel is pretty poor and not enough in my mind. Staff is really friendly and service minded. A bit noisy from the street at night.
Upon checking in, through the restaurant's kitchen downstairs, I was greeted by the very friendly owner. I wanted to love this place, but I really want more from a hotel.
This is as bare bones as you can get. My room was a shoebox, the tv didn't really work (and there was no remote) and the shower head fell on...
