The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
"Beautiful art-deco interior. Book tour in advance"

Very interesting building to see inside. You have to take a tour and English ones only run at certain times. We wandered in on spec and were told the next one was in an hour. We wished we had booked at that point as, when we got back we discovered that technically it was fully booked, though they allowed us...
The guide explained the architecture being the best example of gothic Catalan architecture where the height of the church and nave was similar so no flying buttresses were needed. Beautiful interior space. The sea used to be much closer when the church was built quickly maintaining a consistent style.
The crypt was replaced in a very modern simple style.
The palace was beautiful and the room was cozy and perfect to view the show. The singer and musicians were fantastic and the dancers themselves, their beauty, energy and pride in their native dance, made the show a beautiful one. It was the perfect ending to our trip, we really enjoyed it. Had a glass of wine as well....perfecto!
The MEAM is located very close to the Picasso Gallery. The entrance contains a few interesting sculptures but is not very enticing so I was a bit dubious about it. As I wandered around the collection housed in a somewhat run down palace over three floor I was totally won over. The collection is modern but it is art in...
What a great ethnology museum. Really the best-of-the-best from all over the world. I believe it exceed the Chicago Field Museum in ethnology. We saw things in this museum never seen anywhere else. Across the street from the Picasso museum.

This place was spectacular. The tapas are delicious - I highly recommended the nachos. The staff are also very helpful and answered all our questions.
The place is small, but it has a very cozy, intimate vibe. It’s a a place you simply have to visit!
We came to this place based on the reviews and I’m so glad we did. They have traditional churros and “porras” (the thicker churro). The shop is small and there is a bit of a line but they work fast. The hot chocolate (like all hot chocolate in Spain) is thick but it’s milk chocolate so it goes down gentle....
We recently ate at Ginette on our trip in Barcelona. The food and wine were great. There were 4 of us and we all had different dishes. The monk fish was outstanding as well as the duck. We had several appetizers including the croquettes which were delicious. The wine selection was very good as well.
The restaurant is kind of rustic and super elegant. If you are looking for sophisticated food, that is the place. I went with some friends from work and had a great time! I ate a dish with mango sauce and avocado that was quite interesting and tasty. The soup, as starter, was ok. Perfect service!
Straight away on our arrival The Rec was going to be great. The rooms were beautiful, and the Staff were so welcoming. The idea of the Cocktail and beer afternoons , what a great idea. Close to everything but was hard to find originally. Sweet
Very friendly, very clean, great location, great rooftop, great spa facilities, perfection! We stayed for 3 nights and the staff could not have been friendlier or do enough for us. Not wanting to spoil any surprises, however very individual for a chain with loads of cute/ cool/ well thought out surprises...... cannot recommend enough!
"A strategic base in the busy centre of Barcelona"

There are numerous reasons to visit Barcelona, but many travellers will appreciate being within walking distance of the museums of Carrer Montcada, concerts in the Palau de la Música and the whole historic centre from the Cathedral to the Ramblas. Good service at reception and friendly, helpful attention from Nelli and Marvin in the breakfast room. At night the roof...
We stayed here for 5 nights in November 2018. Great location, wonderful staff, very comfortable room. The hotel offers a free wifi hotspot device, which you can check out from the front desk and carry with you. What a great idea, and saved us from having to use data roaming.
Very clean hotel, really comfortable bed and all the amenities for a great stay.
Top barman ‘Tino’ made predinner drinks and tapas a nightly enjoyment and on my return we would chat as I enjoyed some very fine Spanish brandy.
I booked 4 nights but wish I’d booked longer. Next time I will!
