With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
Placa de Sant Felip Neri is a small square in the Gothic Quarter. The square takes its name from the Church of Saint Philip Neri, which presides over the square. In the centre of the square is an octagonal fountain, dedicated as a symbol of life.
The architecture of the square and surrounding buildings is in the medieval Baroque-style

After a long walk-about I had coffee and gelato here. It was delicious, the owners were lovely, and the view of old Roman ruins mixed with comforting music was just a perfect rest stop. Highly recommended!!
Great hotel. Very intimate and personal. The location was so close to the water and great food. The room was great. The rooftop bar and 1star Miche restaurant were great. The Bartenders on the Rooftop bar were great and made sure I was warm and had a drink in my hand. I would book with them again for sure.
So we stayed in 2 different 5 star hotels during our stay. The Mercer and hotel Neri. Both were great! The location of the Mercer is amazing. Built in the castle, 12th century wall in the library that I touched. So to start, we walked up to the hotel and they had a designated door man (Neri did not). I...
Hotel DO in Barcelona was an excellent hotel. The location could not be any better - overlooking the Place Real and with the Gothic Quarter and Las Rambla either side. The staff and attention to detail was amazing, a gorgeous room, turn down service, fruits and snacks brought to the room without asking for them. Would definitely go back to...
Today is our last night at this wonderful hotel!
