Berlin is filled with history, I unfortunately had not enough time to see as much as I wanted to see, but next time I'll come for leisure. This is a monument considering the past, terrifying what happened in those years before and during war, and it's important that we never forget, to keep it the way we are at least...
"The largest and longest lasting open-air gallery in the world!"

East Side Gallery is what remains of the infamous Berlin Wall and tops the list of things to do in Berlin relating to the Cold War. For those of you who don’t know much about the Berlin Wall (which I didn’t until I visited the city), here’s a very brief history.
The Berlin Wall was a 96-mile-long and 12-foot-high concrete...
"Great diversity of objects and always a special exhibition on display"
reviewed 1 week ago by TheTallBlonde
My dad showed me what was his master piece on a steam train, we attended a welding workshop, a special expo on space travel was going on and silver ware for sugar ... and ... so much to see (and occasional hands-on experience).
Give yourself some hours to explore. You can bring your own food and drinks but also get...
One of my favourite galleries in Berlin - always interesting exhibitions plus an excellent upper floor display of the history of Berlin art. Highly recommended but, beware, the cafe doesn't accept credit cards .... like many places in Berlin.
That's a reasonable question one could ask nowadays. But it happened. How? Find out here on the same name tour.
This was my third visit to Berlin and I put it on my must see list this time. We wanted to take both tours, but made a big mistake thinking it's open until 8 PM (like the nearby Topography of...
First of all I want to thank the amazing staff for making my boyfriends late birthday meal so special!!!
Now I’ll start from the beginning.. my friend actually recommended this restaurant to me as she visited Berlin back in January so I thought let’s try it, why not! We arrived at the restaurant and it was so beautiful inside! Very...
The chef Bimi cooked the greatest spaghetti with truffles I’ve ever had. Our waiter Rosario prepared it right in front of us. My friends said there food was delicious as well. We stayed until closing and they offered us free limoncellos. Truly delicious all around.
This small Italian restaurant is our absolute favourite in Berlin. Even with a quite short menu, this family managed restaurant portraits a fullblown picture of northern Italian cuisine. With an excellent and very personal service and an amazing cuisine quality in Berlin, you do need not to travel to Italy for great italian food. Short for money? You're in the...
Love this hotel. Meets all my needs, and super friendly. Always look forward to going back. A fine place in Kreuzberg. Have now stayed there three times and happily recommend it to others who like smaller, friendlier places.
"Far from Grim - a wonderful hotel that tells a story while proving you with everything you could want and more!"

My partner and I stayed here for two nights to explore Berlin, picking the hotel for it's quirky decor and theme and definitely weren't disappointed! All the rooms and public areas are winningly/tasefully decorating with fairytale stories giving an interesting edge to an efficient, clean and polished hotel. The staff are very friendly and efficient - even gifting us a...
"Great Hotel - best breakfast for a Hampton Inn anywhere"
reviewed 3 weeks ago by markawinely
The Hampton Inn East Side Gallery is a new hotel with excellent very quiet rooms, and the best breakfast offering I have experienced for a Hampton Inn property. Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating throughout the visit. I highly recommend this hotel.
The rooms were a good size and well appointed, the bar was pleasant and the staff we met were all welcoming and polite.
Only 2 gripes are:
- The volume of the air con, it woke both my son and I up at about 3am on the final night so might not be one for light sleepers
- The pillows...
Great location and Berlin feel-river view from the room. Crazy pink room but very comfortable. Loved the piano in the room as well. Good breakfast with tons of options. Great service from the staff, Kai was so funny and very helpful! Thank you
