That was the exhortation from US President Ronald Reagan, not long before the Berlin Wall did come down. It's doubtful whether Reagan can claim direct credit for the momentous events of 9 November 1989, but this plaque in the pavement of 7 June Strasse on the former West side of the Brandenburg Gate, commemorates his sentiment. Look for it on...
This place is so tranquil and hidden from busy Berlin. Many exhibitions about dance and other arts is been presented here, also discussion with the artist and some cultural lectures. They have small cafe and book shop where mostly collection of Bauhaus and modern / contemporary art.
Ate and drank here twice in a 3 day trip, it was that good the first time!
Craft beers and traditional German dishes, which were plentiful and very tasty.
Really friendly staff who appreciated our custom.
Just go to this place. I recommend the matcha latte and the apple and cinnamon cake. The decoration is super cute, The location is nice too it is near a nice bridge.
But the best part: the staff. Super friendly waitresses, they speak English too. Give them a raise, they deserve it.
This is a fun place with a lot of choice on the menu. We had a nice meal and the service was good. When we were there it was operating out of probably its patio which was shrouded in plastic. There were no WCs available.
Visited this little cafe on the edge of Tiergarten having been recommended by a friend . It was small and very family friendly. I was surprised at the prices that offered good value and the food suited all family members. Nice seating indoor and outdoor and friendly staff. A nice place to rest after walking the length of the gardens.
Great little pub. Reasonably priced drinks served by Irish barmen. German and English football on the televisions. Very friendly bar staff and lots of locals drinking here which is always a great sign . Didn’t eat here but the food looked great and when I was there lots of people were enjoying the food . It’s off the beaten track...
We had a lovely stay at this independent hotel in Tiergarten. Location is less than 5 mins stroll from nearest train station with services running every 3-5 minutes to all the central Berlin tourist spots. Journey takes about 10 mins. Hotel is immaculately clean, staff are super helpful and breakfast is really good with large selection of cheeses, ham, cereal...
