Located just off the Place de la Bastille, is this hidden gem, secret street, (pardon the cliches), so peaceful away from the traffic, definitely worth a visit when exploring Paris, you wont be disappointed.
"Small street with bars and restaurants and lots of people in evenings"
reviewed July 11, 2017 by JanisLatvia
Went there just incidentally. I was surprised by amounts of people present. The bars and restaurants were quite occupied and many of the visitors were just staying and chatting in the street. I think that this is a good place if you are looking for night life and some adventure.
The best meal we had in Paris definitely worth a visit. Vincent is the best host and very welcoming! He explained the daily menu to us and offered recommendations. We went for the fois grad to start then the steak and pork. The chocolate mouse for dessert was unbelievable. Main reason to go back to Paris is just to go...
"The name is great but the sandwiches even better "

Sent hubby out to get sandwiches after a long day of walking, couldn’t believe it when he said 2 sandwiches was €16... then I actually opened the bag. Bread bursting with fillings and delightful smells. Definitely worth the money paid, both of us enjoyed ours!
"Excellent service, tasty food and great atmosphere "

The high rating reviews lead me here and I wasn’t disappointed. The waiter was very attentive to my needs as a solo guest and advised me of the option of making a selection to make up my board rather than going for one of the set options.
I had a great selection of tasty cheeses, hams, delicately smoked duck and...
A restaurant like Papa Poule gives hope for the future of the planet. This is a young and very talented team producing innovative dishes with marvellous flavours. The restaurant and its staff are welcoming. The average age of staff and customers alike must be under 30. Try the sharing starters and desserts. Wonderful. And no music!
A gem of hotel, ideally located and with exquisite premises. The rooms were spacious and fresh in beautiful surroundings. We were very pleased with the generous breakfast, fun apéro and dinner. The team were so welcoming and happy to help!
"Perfectly located, quirky, charming hotel ... would definitely return!"

We spent four nights here in July 2019 on our two-week trip through France and Italy. We were three longtime girlfriends, so shared one large room that was equipped with three twin beds.
First, we soooo appreciated the air conditioning which worked amazingly well, considering the age of the hotel. It was during Europe's Heat Wave and we would have...
I had a great stay at Hotel Marais Bastille for a short weekend trip in Paris. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. My room was very clean and was the perfect space for a solo traveller. The hotel is right next to a Metro stop and there is a great market on Sundays across the street. Great value...
Nice hotel, quirky styled rooms however they are quite small. We booked the one up from the smallest and it was still compact but fine for a couple of days. Room was clean and the staff were helpful. Didn't have breakfast but can order for 14 euros each. We requested a higher room and was placed on fifth floor. Very...
We enjoyed our visit. Criticisms would include the lighting in the room - far too dark. Welcome was warm if not overly welcoming. The room was small but perfectly adequate for a city stay. Shower was great, but would better with doors / screen as the curtain can stick to you. 24 hr reception was exactly that. Would consider again.
