"If you care about recorded history don't miss this."
reviewed May 4, 2019 by Tim J
I've never seen such a fabulous collection of wax cylinders, 18" records and auditory horns - some huge, some small - in one place.
The volunteers who work there are genuinely enthusiastic and they will show you how everything works. It's the best museum I've ever been to.
Located in the 9th Arr, (named after Nicolas de Montholon who was a French magistrate and politician), this terrace square has a lot going on, a children's playground as well as a basketball court, even a permanent table tennis table, we were also impressed with the chess tables, under the shade of two massive plane trees that are very old...
Located within square Montholon, named after Nicolas de Montholon who was a French magistrate and politician, stands this wonderful statue, (Created by Julien Lorieux (1876-1915)), of five joyous, working girls celebrating Saint Catherine's Day. Labeled “Catherinettes”, ladies 25 years of age who were not married.
We were served a delicious 7 course meal with wine pairing in this atmospheric and unpretentious restaurant. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was really special and perfectly coordinated. The mackerel and pollock tasted so fresh I can only assume they were swimming that morning. Really special evening, not one to forget. Thank you for such an unforgettable...
The Grec sandwich was amazing!! Great service. They didn’t believe my wife that she wanted it super spicy and did not give her the level of spice she wanted, but the spice level is normal for a regular pallet. Will go again!!
A charming restaurant with irreproachable service, beautiful deco, englobing music and of course... very very nice food.
The jalapeños entrance was to die for.
The bamboo veggie burger was very good too. Just too much mozzarella per me.
Apparently, the chicken burger was to die for, my boyfriend was totally blown away( not easy to do as he works on...
Lovely wine bar that also offers food - but the star of the show are the wines and the service for sure. The concept of the bar is that you tell the owner what sort of wine you like and he picks three 'mystery' bottles that you then try before picking one of the three. The wines were excellent and...
I've never been to Japan, but this restaurant is different from other japanese restaurants we can have in Paris. Here, we have the feeling to be in a real typical restaurant.
Dishes are great at very reasonable price. Hosts are very kind as well.
Reservation is encouraged as the place is very small.
We stayed at this hotel December of 2019. When first arriving we were greeted with lovely staff and they were friendly and helpful through out our whole stay, they even helped us during the strikes that were going on. The room was modern, clean and spacious for a city hotel. The bathroom was fully equipped, exceptionally clean and had a...
Hotel Palm is a wonderful hotel that I will definitely be staying in again! Visited this hotel around Mid-March with a friend. We stayed for two nights in a twin room. The room was quite spacious, and had: comfortable beds, a stocked (and free) mini bar (replenished each day), large TV, a safe, places to hang your clothes, a balcony...
We had a lovely time at this hotel for our Paris/Amsterdam honeymoon. The lady on the front desk every evening was always so helpful and friendly, and immediately upgraded our room when we told her we were on honeymoon. The room itself was gorgeous. It was very small, as expected in Paris, but had everything you need for a nice...
Great place to stay in Paris. Close to everything, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. We saw lots of great places, and could walk to points of interest. Great places to eat nearby.
I have just finished a week solo trip to Paris and I loved this hotel!!!
Well located, really good sized room and good bathroom, but the best of all the friendly and always willing to help staff.
I will use it again with no hesitation.
