The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighborhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbor can result in fascinating outcomes.
It’s an interesting slice of history whatever your religious leanings are. A fine example of a Georgian House and a fairly ornate Chapel, unlike most other Methodist places! Worth visiting the museum downstairs for more detail about Wesley and the Methodists.
There is a short video to watch and then you can wander or ask the helpful stewards questions. If...
"Extraordinary piece of history in the middle of the City"

Any visitor to London would be rightly surprised to find a full sized sports ground and a small castle in the centre of the City of London, but that’s what the Honorary Artillery Company premises are. The sports ground was originally used for archery practice and the site has been owned by the HAC since 1538. Although the site is...
"The best that London has to offer... in a hidden museum that explains our social attitudes..."

The nature of this venue and the exceptional prudish nature of Tripadvisor mean's it's pretty much impossible to write much about this venue without breaching some form of TA compliance.
But the fact is, this has the most interesting museum collection of devices used to cure female hysteria (all some form of Vibrating implement from steam powered to electric) the...
I must have walked past the front door of venue on Old Street a thousand times but last week I went in for a free art exhibition that was on. What a great venue! I got speaking to one of the staff members and they said that the venue is often used for private parties and weddings. Now i just...

"Great service, but meat quality was not even across evenings"

We had dinner twice here within the same week. The first time we had the daily special to share and two of the regular steaks for 4 people altogether. The steaks were melting in the mouth and while the fries (chips) and salad portions were on the small side, the food was overall very good. The popcorn refil and the...

What an experience! Delighted to be able to sample tasty food in small portions to share and we ordered 6 dishes but was given an extra dish to try out their potential new add-on!
Ambience is cosy though the music was a bit too loud and my friend and I had difficulty chatting without raising our voices.
Very friendly staff...
I had several of my friends recommend Dishoom the moment they found out I was traveling to London from Seattle. It completely lived up to expectations. There were a variety of amazing plates we tried and the drinks were great as well. Some of the best Indian food you will get outside of India.
I stay here one or two nights every week and love the place.
The beds are very comfortable, and the showers are great.
The staff are very friendly and I always get great service. Like all things, you get what you give and having taken the time to get to know many of the staff I always get a lovely...
Another amazing stay, the staff put in so much effort for my husbands birthday..such a personal hotel for central London! Love the free breakfast and drinks in the fridge. Definitely my favourite hotel in London.
Our expectations were not high as the cost was so reasonable. We found the rooms very comfortable and well designed. The location was excellent and within easy reach of several stations. It was perfect for our one night stay.
Had an afternoon tea yesterday for a friend's hen at the Courthouse Hotel and Lilla and Leonard were really helpful leading up to the event and during the tea itself. Dietary requirements were accommodated along with a changing guest list! The hotel is quite quirky with a lot of the original features from its previous incarnation and the bride-to-be loved...
First visit and very impressed. Shoreditch suit was excellent, one of the best suits I have stayed in for some time.
The kitchen had a great wine fridge that had room for fresh milk. However, I was amazed to find 'dairystix' in the cupboard for use with the excellent filter coffee. I can only assume they were there...
