From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
To visit a fascinating place with no crowds and an excellent guide- Yeoman Beefeater was amazing- the sense of history and the importance of the past brought to life by Yeomn Jason, a must do visit if you come to London. The views are pretty good as well of the city.
The Sky Garden at the top of the Walkie Talkie Building is a must for great views over London. This is a free place to visit but it is advisable to book a week or so in advance....book via Sky Garden Website.....there is a cafe, bar and restaurant and garden areas....so nice to find somewhere free in London (near Tower...
As others have mentioned, St Dunstan-in-the-East is a former Church of England church on St Dunstan's Hill and largely destroyed in the Second World War. The ruins are now a public garden. Although he roof had been destroyed, the shell of the church still remains and is overgrown with various plant and ironically is very striking in the mix of...
I have wanted to visit this church for such a long time as I had read about the Knights Templar associated with it and it was used in the film the di vinci code. The staff were most welcoming and answered my many questions. Spent an hour and a half here as there is so much information inside. It was...
Saturday 16th February 2019, Jack and I visited Angler for the second time and can officially call it my favourite restaurant. I have never experienced better service, from the moment I walked in until the moment I left.
The food was outstanding. I had the “Cobbled Egg” starter - no idea what I was really asking for but it was...

We had few plates to share (the squid and meatballs were fantastic) and a really nice bottle of Spanish red. Charlotte looked after us and we felt at home! Definitely recommend this place! Will be back for sure!
It doesn't matter where are you coming from once at AdoreRemo you'll feel at home!
A blend of original Italian taste with an English twist!
1. Eating with the eyes!
2. Smell it! Yummy temptation!
3. Taste it! Perfectly balanced!

Blacklock never disappoints. The meat is always super tender and cooked to perfection, with a decent range of tasty sides to compliment. This place always has great service and a good atmosphere. The white chocolate cheesecake is also exceptional!
Just quick note to say many thanks for the hospitality and welcoming for our stay. We booked a room in 8th floor and we has access for continental breakfast in ground floor opposite of reception. The waiters and manager in Club Lounge went beyond and above to make sure we will have an amazing breakfast and also great drinks in...
The staff and facilities exceeded all expectations. After a long day of business meetings once we walked into the hotel it was warm and comforting. Breakfast service was quick and the selection was good. Evenings in the lounge were also very nice.
I am an experienced high maintenance traveller and I had a fantastic time at the Southplace. Stylish but not uptight..just cool and tasteful thanks to the absolutely perfect discreet, warm and attentive staff. Free upgrade as we were celebrating our anniversary. Sublime cocktails. Decor on point. Highly recommended.
Would definitely recommend to friends and family, great service and lovely staff who were super helpful when I had any questions! Keep up the good work over there and I really enjoyed the tasty room service
A beautifully appointed hotel easily accessible. Our favourite hotel for a treat in London. Very attentive and efficient staff in reception, restaurant and bar. We have recommended to many friends and will hopefully visit many more times. Its is on a main bus route and the West end is only minutes away.
